Signal de Botrange is located in the Ardennes area of Belgium, as is the highest point of Luxembourg, Kneiff which stands at nearly 560 metres. The highest point of the Netherlands, Vaalseberg, stands at nearly 323 metres.

Mount Catherine is in southern Sinai and is also known as Gebel Katherina. It is the site of a Greek Orthodox monastery dedicated to Saint Catherine. Morocco and Italy are not in the eastern Mediterranean area, and Syria's highest point is Mount Hermon with an elevation of 2,814 metres.
