1. Richard Cypher is trying to get a mysterious woman to safety, but her pursuers have caught up with them. Who tells Richard "Be on your way, boy"?

Michael and Chase were not with Richard and the woman, and the woman wanted his help. She didn't want to be left alone and warned him not to be touching her at any time during the fight.

2. The Seeker has been named! Which two people were the first to pledge to him as follows: "I pledge my life in defense of the Seeker"?

Answer: Zedd and Kahlan

Michael never pledged to the Seeker, and Chase wasn't there when he was named, so he didn't pledge until the Seeker led Zedd and Kahlan to him in search of a way through the boundary.

The cloud had been following Richard since his father's death, placed there by Darken Rahl so that he could go for Richard at any time of his choosing. Zedd wants to wait to hide the cloud so that if Darken Rahl does come, he won't find Chase's family.
