This is a little scene I remember. It really brought Kahlan's character to life and gave it some color. I figured it was a good detail to ask a question on.

2. Which type of gar is the more intelligent?

Answer: Short-tailed gar

Kahlan tells Richard this after they encounter a long-tailed gar and escape. Just a little tidbit that readers of Goodkind should know.

In the same conversation with Richard, Kahlan divulges this fact. This was one that you really had to pay attention to the book and totally read every conversation to get.

I very much sympathized with Richard when he was stuck in that narrow little cave. I'm very claustrophobic. I'm sure I would've passed out or gone into hysterics in about ten minutes.

5. How does the Bird Man bring disgrace down on Toffalar after Kahlen kills him?

Answer: Buries the entire body

The Mud People always took the skull off of an elder when they died and kept it in the spirit house. By burying the entire body, the Bird Man was saying that all Toffalar brought was disgrace and disrespect.

6. Why should Kahlan never have been able to use the Con Dar?

Answer: Her mother died before she could teach her

It was very surprising when this happened in the book. I kind of like it, though. Kahlan's power hadn't seemed like a very good weapon, but now with its Subtractive side unleashed, it was pretty intimidating.

7. What was the significance of the two trees that Zedd planted near his house?

Answer: Monuments for his wife and daughter

After Kahlan cuts down one of the trees with the Sword of Truth, you find out what they were for. Some character depth for you.

8. Where was Adie born?

Answer: Nicobarese

Ok, guys, this is an easy one. At least it should be easy. Just listen for the peculiar way she speaks.

9. What are the two items in the symbol that is on a Mord-Sith's leather outfit?

Answer: crescent and star

When Richard first sees Denna, he notices her blood-red leather and the symbol emblazoned across it. Another tiny detail in the reading.

10. What is the name of the instruction book for the Boxes of Orden?

Answer: Book of Counted Shadows

This is another easy one. Anyone who has read this book should know this one. It's not hidden in the dialogue or anything. I wanted the last question to kind of give you a break.
