Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This little fellow was the personal manservant to Francisco Scaramanga from "The Man With The Golden Gun". What was his name?

Answer: Nick Nack

Nick Nack was the loyal manservant to the villain, Scaramanga. He was played by Herve' Villechaize, the same actor who played Tattoo in the first "Fantasy Island" series. Not only did he take care of Scaramanga but he also assisted him in his crimes. Unlike many of the other henchmen, Nick Nack was not killed in the end.
2. What was the name of the Indian henchman in "Octopussy" who helped smuggle a nuclear device on a U.S. air force base?

Answer: Gobinda

Gobinda was the silent Indian servant and bodyguard to Kamal Khan. He was played by Kabir Bedi. He was recognized by his intense eyes and the turban he wore on his head. He was very strong, he showed this by crushing a pair of dice with his bare hands.

He was killed by Bond when he went on top of the plane. Bond flicked an antenna in his face and he fell to his death. Vijay was Bond's assistant. Mischka was one of the knife throwers in a circus.
3. Who was the ugly looking henchman in "Die Another Day"?

Answer: Major Zao

Major Zao, played by Rick Yune, was the military assistant to Colonel Tan-Sun Moon. Both were North Korean. In the beginning, Zao was a handsome fellow but became disfigured. In the opening scene he had diamonds exploded into his face. Then he lost his hair during the gene splicing therapy.

He ended up with a white pasty face, piercing blue eyes, and diamonds scarred into his face. He was very extreme looking, which really set the mood for evil.
4. What was the weapon of choice for Oddjob in the 007 movie "Goldfinger"?

Answer: Bowler hat

Oddjob was the mute henchman to the villain Auric Goldfinger. He used a bowler hat with a razor sharp brim. He would throw it like a frisbee. He was very strong, Bond could not overpower him with hand to hand combat. Bond killed him with electricity. Oddjob got his hat stuck in some metal bars.

When he was trying to pull it out, Bond threw an exposed electrical wire at the bars and fried Oddjob.
5. What was true about Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd, the two assassins in "Diamonds Are Forever"?

Answer: They were lovers

Blofeld was smuggling diamonds from the mines in South Africa. Wint and Kidd were hired to kill every person in the smuggling pipeline after their job was done. They were such refined gentlemen as well as lovers. They walked away in one scene hand in hand. Mr. Wint resembled Hannibal Lector in almost every way. Bond killed them at the end of the movie on the cruise ship.

These guys were great.
6. This gentleman assisted Rosa Klebb in "From Russia With Love". What was his "colorful" name?

Answer: Donald "Red" Grant

Donald "Red" Grant was played by Robert Shaw. He was Irish but was recruited by SPECTRE after his escape from prison. He was described as psychotic and paranoid. Klebb tested his strength by punching him in the stomach with brass knuckles. He did not even flinch. Disguised as Capt. Nash, he had Bond fooled on the train but aroused suspicion when he ordered red wine with fish. Grant became a victim to Q's loaded briefcase.
7. Which of these henchmen was in two 007 movies?

Answer: Jaws

Jaws, played by Richard Keil, was first in "The Spy Who Loved Me" then in "Moonraker". He was another of the henchmen who did not die at the end of the movie. He survived the fight with the shark in "The Spy Who Loved Me" by biting him. He then was hired by Hugo Drax in "Moonraker" after Bond killed Chang, Drax's first bodyguard. Jaws found a pretty little girlfriend during his adventure in "Moonraker" and ended up as a good guy.
8. Who was the henchman to Elliot Carver in "Tomorrow Never Dies"?

Answer: Mr. Stamper

Mr Stamper, played by Gotz Otto, was the assistant to Elliot Carver. He, like the other three choices, was tall, muscular, and blond. Stamper was learning the method of chakra torture from his mentor, Dr. Kaufman. It appeared that Stamper also enjoyed pain inflicted on himself. Stamper was killed by Bond in the end when he was chained to a missile.
9. Not all henchmen were men. This "henchwoman", (or henchperson), from "Goldeneye" got gratification from killing. Who was she?

Answer: Xenia Onatopp

Xenia Onatopp, played by Famke Janssen, was a pilot in the Red Air Force before the collapse of the USSR. She loved killing so much that she climaxed when she shot the workers at the Severnaya satellite station. Her favorite weapon was her legs. She could squeeze a man to death with them. Bond killed her when he shot the helicopter she rappelled from.
10. Which of these choices did NOT happen to Baron Samedi in the 007 movie "Live And Let Die"?

Answer: He was impaled on a meat hook

This one is tricky, but a real Bond fan should know it. Baron Samedi, played by Geoffrey Holder, was introduced as an act for the tourists at the hotel. He was known as "the man who cannot die". He protected the poppy fields with a voodoo curse. This was just to keep the locals in line.

When Bond was rescuing Solitaire, Baron Samedi popped up from a grave. Bond shot him in the head and he fell. This turned out to be just a dummy. The real Baron popped up next and Bond fought him with a machete. Bond pushed him in a coffin full of poisonous snakes.

He twitched and then died. At the end of the movie Bond and Tee Hee fought on the train. Bond killed him by throwing him from the train. Just when it appeared that Bond was safe, Baron Samedi showed up.

He was very much alive, sitting on the end of the train, with his big toothy grin and maniacal laughter. Then the credits appeared.
