Answer: Wide Open Road

"Wide Open Road" is from The Triffids third album "Born Sandy Devotional" which was released in 1986. Two albums followed: 1992's "Welcome Stranger" and 1993's "All Souls Alive".
7. Which Johnny Cash song did McComb cover for the album "'Til Things Are Brighter: A Tribute to Johnny Cash"?

Answer: Country Boy

"'Til Things Are Brighter: A Tribute to Johnny Cash" was quite unusual for a tribute album in that it was released (1988) at a time when Johnny Cash wasn't particularly fashionable. Other memorable tunes from the album was Steve Mack's - "Rosanna's Goin' Wild", Peter Shelley's - Straight A's in Love and Michelle Shocked's - "One Piece at a Time".
8. David McComb also released solo records after the demise of The Triffids as well as recording with The Blackeyed Susans. What was the title of McComb's solo album?

Answer: Don't Go Home With Your Hard-On
