Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What number is on Al's chest on the cover of 'Running With Scissors'?

Answer: 27

I've read that this 2-digit number is his favorite number.
2. Who is the 1st Star Wars character referenced in 'The Saga Begins'?

Answer: Qui-Gon Jinn

The opening lyrics: 'A long long time ago in a galaxy far away Naboo was under an attack And I thought me and Qui-Gon Jinn Could talk the Federation into Maybe cutting them a little slack' Anakin is not mentioned, Naboo is not a character, and Qui-Gon is mentioned after 'I'.

The song was written from the 1st person perspective of Obi-Wan. This is Yankovic's 2nd Star Wars song, the first being 'Yoda' which was written from the 1st person perspective of Luke Skywalker.
3. My baby finds really sexy the way Eddie Vedder grinds what?

Answer: Molars

From 'My Baby's In Love With Eddie Vedder': 'She says the way he grinds his molars is really sexy' It's the 3rd line of the song.
4. Who provide the female guest voices heard in 'Pretty Fly For A Rabbi'?

Answer: Tress MacNeille and Mary Kay Bergman

Al wanted Bergman to do the voice of Kyle's mom from South Park, but her agent wouldn't let her do it, fearing potential conflict problems with Comedy Central. Al had Tress MacNeille come in and do her Fran Drescher impersonation instead ('How ya doin', Bernie?'). Bergman's Gentile-sounding '(for a Rab-bi. . .)' still remained from the original work-up, so she still got a credit on the song.
5. 'The Weird Al Show Theme' lists for Al how many jobs and how many homes?

Answer: 3 jobs and 3 homes

1st home mentioned was in a sewer until the sanitation workers made him move, when he went to Ohio and lived in his 2nd home (in a tree) and got his 1st job at the nasal decongestant factory (apparently, he was unemployed while living in the sewer). About a year later he got the job on the tater tot farm (job number 2), and moved to home number 3 (split-level cave 20 miles below the surface of the earth).

While at this home he gets job 3 - hosting his own TV show (which was set in his cave-home).
6. From which album did Al get the music for 'Jerry Springer'?

Answer: Stunt

'One Week' by Bare Naked Ladies (of which 'Jerry Springer' is a parody) appears on BNL's 'Stunt' Album, released in 1998.
7. What do germs do in every kiss?

Answer: Lurk

From 'Germs': 'They're ridin' inside my car - They're swimmin' in every drink - They're hidin' between my toes - They're lurkin' in every kiss'
8. Which of the following artists does not have a song with a snippet arranged into 'Polka Power!'?

Answer: Alanis Morissette

'Polka Power!' uses snippets from the following songs: 'Wannabe' by Spice Girls, 'Flagpole Sitta' by Harvey Danger, 'Ghetto Supastar (That Is What You Are)' by Pras Michel with Ol' Dirty Bastard and Mya, 'Everybody (Backstreet's Back)' by Backstreet Boys, 'Walkin' On The Sun' by Smash Mouth, 'Intergalactic' by Beastie Boys, 'Tubthumping' by Chumbawamba, 'Ray Of Light' by Madonna, 'Push' by Matchbox 20, 'Semi-Charmed Life' by Third Eye Blind, 'The Dope Show' by Marilyn Manson, 'Mmmbop' by Hanson, 'Sex And Candy' by Marcy Playground, and 'Closing Time' by Semisonic.

Although Alanis Morissette is mentioned in 'My Baby's In Love With Eddie Vedder', none of her songs are featured in the medley. However, a snippet of 'You Oughta Know' was heard in 'Alternative Polka' which was on the 'Bad Hair Day' album.
9. What follows 'Where was I?'?

Answer: Libra

In 'Your Horoscope For Today' Virgo's horoscope is followed by a tangent that explains the accuracy and veracity of the horoscope system. Al then sings 'Where was I?' The next horoscope is Libra.
10. How much RAM has he got?

Answer: 100 Gig

From 'It's All About The Pentiums': 'I got me a hundred gigabytes of RAM'
11. In which direction is the truck driver headed?

Answer: North

From 'Truck Drivin' Song': 'My diesel rig is northward bound'. No other direction is specified.
12. What celebrity is mentioned in 'Grapefruit Diet'?

Answer: Kate Moss

'Grapefruit Diet' contains the lines 'Well, I used to live on chocolate sauce - Made sumo wrestlers look like Kate Moss.' Gellar is mentioned in 'It's All About The Pentiums.' Morissette is mentioned in 'My Baby's In Love With Eddie Vedder.' Dion is not mentioned in this album.
13. How many people are mentioned by name (first names count as well as full names) in the song Albuquerque

Answer: 7

They are Jerry (of Jerry's Bait Shop), Leonard Nimoy (the radio contest), Pauly Shore (star of 'Biodome'), Zelda (the calligraphy enthusiast with the slight overbite), Nathaniel (one of the 2 beautiful children), Superfly (the other beautiful child), and Marty (who has a new nick-name - 'Torsoboy').
14. What musical instruments are mentioned by name (in English) in this album?

Answer: Accordion, Ukuleles, Tenor Saxophone

An accordion was packed up when he had to move out of the sewer in 'The Weird Al Show Theme', the Shriners and the Leopards play their ukuleles all day long in 'Albuquerque', and on his way to 'Albuquerque' he mentions crawling from the twisted burning wreckage of the plane crash with (among other things) his tenor saxophone.
15. What can be found (as of 1999) at 137-139 West 25th Street, New York, NY 10001?
