This is just one of the many humorous quotes attributed to Mark Twain. It can be found on page 210 in the "Autobiography of Mark Twain, Volume I" (2010). It was a reference to getting older. Another piece of wisdom from this wonderful mind can be found in an entry into his personal notebook from 1894 where he noted "If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything".

It is certainly something to ponder.

This thought is from the wonderful mind of Maya Angelou. It can be found in her 1993 novel "Wouldn't Take Nothing for My Journey Now". Many of Angelou's books are semi-autobiographical. They are studies of the sociological behaviors known as prejudice or bias.

Hepburn was fluent in six languages and worked for UNICEF for over 30 years. Part of her wisdom undoubtedly came from surviving the Nazi occupation of Europe in World War II.
