1. Maybe not many people are aware that the 25th day of the 12th month is actually mentioned in the Book of Jeremiah. Can you name in which chapter or chapters of that book the reference appears, in the NIV Bible? (Hint: Month of the Gregorian calendarin which Christmas is celebrated)

Answer: Last

In Jeremiah 52:31 the NIV Bible says that Amel-Marduk king of Babylon freed Jehoiachin king of Judah from prison on the 25th day of the 12th month. (At the time, this was not, of course, December - it would have been the Jewish month of Adar.) He spoke kindly to him and gave him a seat of honour higher than those of the other kings in Babylon.
2. In the 26th chapter in the Book of Jeremiah there was another man who prophesised the same things as Jeremiah did, however unlike Jeremiah he incurred the wrath of the king of Judah. Can you name him?

Answer: Uriah son of Shemaiah

Uriah son of Shemaiah from Kiriath Jearim was another man who prophesied in the name of the Lord; he prophesied the same things against Jerusalem and the land of Judah as Jeremiah did, however King Jehoiakim was upset at this and he had to flee to Egypt in order to escape the king.
