Answer: Bobby Unser

Foyt was the first 4-time winner. He won his 4th in 1977. Unser Sr. followed him in 1987, and Mears won his 4th in 1991. Bobby Unser won 3 Indy 500s.
2. It is hard in today's world to be able to race more than 1 type of car. Who was the first driver to win the Indy 500, the Daytona 500, and the 24 Hours of LeMans in their career?

Answer: AJ Foyt

AJ Foyt was one of the most versatile drivers in American history. He won races on dirt ovals, paved ovals, and road courses.
3. To win 1 Indy 500 is very tough. To win 2 in a row is incredible. Which of the following drivers won 2 Indy 500 races in a row?

Vukovich was leading the race in 1952 when a small part broke with a few laps left in the race. He won the race in 1953 and 1954. He was killed while leading the race in 1955. With a little luck, Vuky could have won 4 in a row.
4. We sometimes see drivers spraying champagne while celebrating a victory at races. After being victorious in the 1967 24 Hours of LeMans, which driver started the tradition of spraying champagne on the winner's podium instead of drinking it?

Answer: Dan Gurney

With AJ Foyt as his co-driver in 1967, Gurney and Foyt drove a Ford GT40 to an overall LeMans win over the factory Ferrari team cars.
5. There have been a few drivers that have won more than one NASCAR championship. Which of the following NASCAR drivers never won more than one season driver championship?

Wallace only won 1 season championship in 1989. Terry Labonte won his first in 1984 and his second in 1996, the longest time gap between two championships in NASCAR history.
6. Most people know one man as the King in NASCAR. Richard Petty started 1185 NASCAR races in his career, driving in the Grand National, now know as the Cup division. How many top 5 finishes did he earn?

Answer: 555

Richard Petty also won 200 NASCAR races in his career, a mark that will probably never be beaten due to the shorter season that the modern Cup circuit uses.
7. Some records are made that really might be unbreakable! This winning record could well be one. Which driver was the first to have won 14 season championships, competing in a NHRA professional category?

Answer: John Force

John later had a daughter, Ashley, driving a NHRA Top Fuel Funny Car.
8. Versatility is a great talent to have for a race car driver. Some were very gifted in that regard. Who was the first auto racing driver to accomplish winning the Indy 500, the Daytona 500, and a Formula One championship?

Answer: Mario Andretti

Mario Andretti is probably the only driver that could challenge AJ Foyt's versatility. He also competed and won on dirt ovals, paved ovals, and road courses.
9. Motorcycle motocross evolved into stadium Supercross events. They regularly draw thousands and thousand of fans. Which Supercross rider won more Supercross main events in his career than any other rider when he retired?

Answer: Ricky Carmichael

Ricky Carmichael later tried his hand with racing cars. He drove in the NASCAR Truck Series and the ARCA series. Jeff Ward drove Indy cars for a number of years, and Ricky Johnson raced off-road trucks.
10. This father/son combination won more NASCAR races and season titles than any other father/son combination in NASCAR history. They will be forever part of NASCAR history. Who is this father and son combination?
