That's why Africa was slow to catch on to the sport. It is also played while wearing skates.

Answer: 11

Bandy used only one goalkeeper. Youth league can play with as little as 7 players.

The goalkeeper doesn't use a stick. They are supposed to catch the ball and throw it to a player on their team.

Two halves, just like soccer or NCAA basketball.

Like most soccer games, it consists of two halves which are 45 minutes each. Organized youth leagues are shorter.

Between 1957 and 2003 it was held every second year. In 2004, it was changed to an annual format.

It was held in Finland. The Soviet Union won. Three countries competed, Soviets, Finland, and Sweden.

The center is of cork, covered with hard rubber. It's the size of a tennis ball and is really fast moving.
9. What color is a bandy ball?

Answer: Orange

It's easier to see an orange ball on the white ice. In the past, neither the fans or goalkeeper could see the white ball until it was changed to orange.
10. In which country did bandy originate?

Answer: England

Bury Fen is considered the home of bandy. The National Bandy Association was established in 1891.
