The 'Texas Tornado' finished 5th in 1996, only his 2nd year in the World Championship. He took the title in 2000, and again in 2002, taking it from Troy Bayliss at the very last round in Imola.
2. Who was Carl Fogarty's closest rival in 1994?

Answer: Scott Russell

'Foggy' as he is known, took the title in 1994 with 305 points, followed by 1993 champion Russell with 280, and Slight with 277. Chili and Kocinski didnt join World Superbike until 1995.
