Christopher Eccleston brought the series of "Doctor Who" back in 2005 after it lay dormant for years. The first episode he was in is called "Rose", featuring Billie Piper.

The Doctor meets the Face of Boe a few times. The first time he is on a spaceship about to watch the Earth die. This is the Doctor and Rose's first trip into space and time.

The Gelth are the creatures that the Doctor fights in the episode "The Unquiet dead". They are ghosts that live in the gas and trick the Doctor into helping them, they end up trying to kill him. The Doctor and Rose are saved by Charles Dickens.
