Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. For how long do Richard Ramirez and Benjamin Richter travel together?

Answer: One year

In 1985, a couple of German motel tenants can't sleep and one of them heads next door to ask them to turn it down. Richard Ramirez answers, refusing to turn down Billy Idol, and he nearly drags the tourist into his room to kill her, but Benjamin stops him.

The two have travelled for a year together and Richter is tired of the killings. It doesn't change too much until Richter decides to give away Ramirez's location, convincing a group of Los Angeles locals that he's the Night Stalker. They chase him through a local neighbourhood while Richter drives off.
2. In 1989, Montana is responsible for killing a trespasser at Camp Redwood who was only there to do which of the following?

Answer: Go birdwatching

In 1989, five years after the most recent spate of murders, a birdwatcher brings his camera to Camp Redwood to take some nature photos, finding the place seemingly dilapidated. That said, he finds Montana sunbathing out on the dock and she lures him over.

He claims to be there with his girlfriend, but she advances in on him anyways, seducing him before pulling out a knife and killing him. The ghosts of some of the older counsellors criticize her for seemingly never getting bored of murdering trespassers, but it's a way to pass the time. Xavier praises her for what she's done and volunteers to take the next.
3. Which of these properties did Margaret not purchase over the years?

Answer: Ed Gein's house

By 1989, Margaret becomes famous in a different way. Being featured on "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous", she explains how she needed to take all the misfortune in her life and funnel it into something new, so she used her late husband's inheritance and put it towards purchasing macabre sites of murder and horror (like John Wayne Gacy's house, Briarcliff Manor, and the Winchester House) and making them luxurious. Since 1984, she also married Trevor, whose heart her knife miraculously missed when she stabbed him in her cabin at Camp Redwood.
4. Trevor remembered everything after awakening in the hospital from his coma in 1985.

Answer: True

In 1985, Trevor awakened from his coma and beckoned Margaret to his bedside to reveal that he remembered everything. He decided to play his cards right though; instead of telling the police, he would hold it over Margaret and blackmail her. Margaret allowed this, but only under the condition that he marry her and stand by her side to prevent him from testifying against her should any issues arise. Four years later, Trevor wants out.

The only thing that interrupts the two of them from arguing further is Margaret's personal assistant, Courtney, who informs the pair that Brooke lost her last appeal and is expected to be executed.
5. Brooke is expected to be put to death by which means?

Answer: Lethal injection

Brooke is transported to San Quentin after her final trial and placed into her cell on death row. As she walks past the cells, Richard Ramirez peers out of his own and can't help but suggest she should've let him kill her back in 1984. At Camp Redwood, Montana goes through belongs left at the birdwatcher's tent when Ray stomps over, asking her and Xavier to stop killing everyone who wanders in.

They don't listen, however, feeling that there are no consequences for their actions while they're dead. Continuing to root through the items left at the campsite, Montana finds a newspaper saying that Brooke is to be put to death by lethal injection, convicted on account of eleven counts of first-degree murder. And that's when the birdwatcher's girlfriend comes by.

When Xavier kills her quickly and without remorse, Ray decides not to let it happen anymore.
6. Which of these, according to Margaret, will jump-start her business?

Answer: More murders

Brooke struggles to come to terms with her fate as Richard Ramirez somehow communicates with her through the wall of his cell. He runs her through all of the ways she could be put to death, but advises that he can help her. His master believes there is purpose for her and can spare her if she agrees. She doesn't.
Margaret receives her numbers for recent acquisitions and discovers that her deal for human-skin lights at the Gein Farm has fallen through. The public thinks it's morbid; three deals have fallen through. Courtney suggests selling since they're at peak value, but Margaret angrily shoots the idea down.
And that's when Trevor brings the news-- new murders in Camp Redwood.
7. To which state did Benjamin Richter flee after leaving Richard Ramirez behind?

Answer: Alaska

In 1989, Benjamin Richter, having fled to Alaska, lives with his wife and son. He was a killer, of course, and she was a former prostitute he saved. She convinces him that they have to live their lives and forget their pasts. As long as they're happy, they can keep going on. Richter works at a video store and he does well.

He believes he's up for a promotion and it's possible that he could lead a new Videoshack location in Juneau.
8. Benjamin is forced to leave his new life behind when which of these occurs?

Answer: His wife is murdered

To capitalize on the murders in Camp Redwood, Margaret decides to create the Camp Redwood Food & Music Fest, where A-List acts can perform and concert-goers can stay in the actual cabins where the massacres took place. There will, of course, be spooks and scares.
From a distance, Chet watches and hopes to kill Margaret himself. Montana stops him though, saying they'll get the chance when the festival happens.
In Alaska, Benjamin watches the news report for the festival and suggests that he's over it; he feels nothing about the events there. He's finally free of it.
It doesn't matter though; Benjamin returns home from work one night to find his wife dead in their bed. His son, alive in another room, cries with a Camp Redwood flyer. Benjamin leaves the child with a family member and heads south.
9. Who's allegedly the headliner at the Camp Redwood Food & Music Fest?

Answer: Billy Idol

Richard is visited in prison by a girl known only as Red. They talk about the wasted potential that Brooke has, but more importantly the music festival at Camp Redwood is expected to feature Billy Idol as the main headliner. Ramirez, a big fan, is disappointed that Red bought herself a ticket and thinks about how to get out. Great artists, like Billy Idol, last forever; he needs to get out so they never forget him.
That night, after a final meal, Brooke is escorted to the execution room. She's offered last rites but refuses. In his cell, Richard offers her one last chance (again refused) before attending to his ritual, offering himself once again to seek immortality and put forth a rain of souls.
Margaret and Trevor watch the execution from behind a one-way window and Brooke proclaims her innocence once more, condemning Margaret to burn in Hell for what she's done to her. And then they strap her in.
10. Is Brooke executed?

Answer: No

As the clock strikes midnight, a great deal happens in the prison.
Richard's ritual works as black smoke streams its way through the pipes of the building. The smoke takes over the body of a guard who, taking his keys, frees Richard from his cell, takes him through the building, and lets him go.
In the execution chamber, the injection is placed into Brooke's arm and the plunger is pushed in front of the crowd. It takes two minutes before the audience in the other room is given the ultimate time of death and asked to leave. They don't notice that she's still alive. The executioner awakens Brooke with another injection and removes her mask, revealing herself to be Donna.
