Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Shelby and Dominic run into who of these in the tunnels beneath the house?

Answer: The Chen Family

Dominic and Shelby, watching as Agnes gets killed by the real Butcher outside, weigh their options and realize that no one is coming to help them escape the nightmare unfolding before them. Shelby, having been in the situation once before, tells Dominic that they need to make their way through the house and head to the tunnels in the basement, which they do.

She realizes that Edward may still be in the tunnel and could help them escape, but it isn't the house's creator that they find inside. As they begin walking through the dark, it's the Chens, crawling along the ceiling and walls, who scramble after them.
2. Jether removes which part of Lee's body?

Answer: Ear

At the Polk farmhouse, Mama Polk sharpens her knives as she discusses the best parts of the human body for meat. Her son, Jether, watches until he's told to harvest a bit more food from their prisoner. Mama ends up discussing the Polk family history, dating back to the Great Depression, talking about how they ate the people who ate their last food and managed to persevere. Lee informs them that the police will take them all away to serve the death penalty, but the Polks assure her that they have the cops in their back pocket. Shortly after, they claim more meat from her leg and Jether harvests her ear-- a gift for Christmas, he claims.
3. Jether tells Lee of the origin of what urban legend with ties to his ancestors?

Answer: The Piggy-Man

Lee ends up crying about her situation and she reveals that she just wants to see her daughter again. Jether doesn't really care too much about this, but says that he's having a hard time being a middle child; all he really wants is to be on television. Lee tries to bargain with him, saying she'll get him on TV, and he reveals that one of his relatives, back at the time of the Chicago World's Fair, used to put on a pig mask, gutting and skinning people, and putting them in their bathtubs.

The people of Roanoke gutted him and skinned him alive, sticking him into their fire, thus making him a legend.

He refuses to be another Piggy-Man and, in a moment of kindness, he gives her a hit of cocaine, urging her to take it to cut out the pain for when Mama cuts up her shoulder.
4. Shelby, afraid for her life, admits that they only reason they escaped the house the first time was because of who of these?

Answer: Matt

Dominic and Shelby escape the tunnels and try to block the entrance, but the Chens are able to start climbing out after them. They make it up to the main floor of the house, but Matt's hand gets slammed in the basement door. It gets locked, but he goes to get ice from the freezer to help the pain.

Shelby, meanwhile, breaks down knowing that they won't escape; last time she had Matt to get them out. He barely convinces her to keep fighting right before the Piggy-Man appears behind him and stabs him in the back.

Shelby thinks fast and grabs a knife for herself as well, stabbing the creature in the head before they run.
5. Shelby takes her own life in the Roanoke house.

Answer: True

Shelby and Dominic run out of the kitchen but come face to face with the ghosts of the house; they find themselves pursued by the Chens, the Piggy-Man, and the nurses all at the same time as the Roanoke settlers smash at the front door. As they reach the main hall, a chandelier comes crashing down, landing on Shelby's foot, but Dominic forces her to press on, essentially dragging her to the ensuite bathroom.

As they head inside, Shelby can't do anything but laugh; she killed the only man she loved and there's no place left for her. Dominic can only watch as she slits her own throat.
6. Lee admits that she killed Mason.

Answer: True

At the Polk Farmhouse, Lee asks Jether to grab a picture of Flora from her back pocket so that she can see her daughter. He does so, and she says she wants to talk to her, so he begins filming a mother's last words to her daughter. Lee uses the video as an opportunity to absolve herself, admitting to killing Mason, and telling Flora to rise up beyond everything that's been happening in their lives.

After the recording, Jether admits that he'll likely be the one to kill Lee, though he doesn't want to, and she manages to seduce him into removing one of her cuffs.

She takes her chance, grabbing him and choking him out before freeing herself, stabbing him in the head, and running for it.
7. What, according to the Polks, never burns?

Answer: Teeth

Audrey and Monet end up terrorized by the other members of the Polk family, trying to argue that they never took away their feral children. Monet actually suggests going back to the Roanoke house since they can bring them to Matt and Shelby who actually were responsible.

The Polks, of course, refuse; the blood moon is out. The Polks also have a hard time figuring out the prop teeth from 'My Roanoke Nightmare', claiming that they burn, unlike regular teeth. They do, however, have two mouths of teeth available to them, and they claim that if they wear them, then they won't burn either. With a pair of pliers, they begin to remove one of Monet's teeth, but her chair breaks and she's able to fight back. Monet can't free Audrey fast enough, so she runs, leaving her. Mama Polk, coming back to find Audrey still sitting, tells her she still needs teeth.
8. Who ends up freeing Audrey from her seat, allowing her to fight back and kill Mama Polk?

Answer: Lee

Audrey ends up fighting back, but with words instead of her body. As Mama Polk comes in with the larger pliers, she insults the Polk Family and refuses to budge, but soon, Mama Polk is reaching into her mouth and pulling out her teeth.
Monet, meanwhile, ends up chased through the woods, the Polk men chasing with their camera phones.
Before more teeth can be pulled out, Audrey and Mama are found by Lee, who knocks out the latter and frees the actress. Audrey tells Lee that Monet seemed to have escaped and, after she's freed, she takes a hammer and smashes Mama's head.
9. Who admits to bringing drugs to the Roanoke house?

Answer: Audrey

Audrey and Lee end up making their way back to the Roanoke house, opting to come back through the tunnels. When they arrive, they find Matt's body on the floor and Lee breaks down. Audrey realizes that whatever killed Lee's brother is probably still in the house, so they need to keep going.

They do, and they find the smashed chandelier in the main hall, instantly knowing that something is amiss. Nonetheless, they have to move, so Audrey helps her up the spiral stairs to the second floor, bringing her to the bedroom to search her bag for drugs.

She tells Lee that they'll be alright and heads to the bathroom for a glass of water. That's when she finds Shelby's body... and Dominic.
10. The man playing what 'My Roanoke Nightmare' role appears at the house on the morning of the third day?

Answer: Ambrose

Lee doesn't believe Dominic for a second. In fact, when they entered the bathroom, he was still holding a knife. She believes that Shelby would never have come to the house and killed Matt, so perhaps it was he who killed them instead. She and Audrey force him out of the bedroom despite his protests that they need to stick together, and when they do, the Piggy-Man gets him, slicing him up with his knife outside the door. Lee leans back against a wall while Audrey speaks into the camera, sympathizing for her fans.

When the sun rises, nothing can be heard through the house. Lee refuses to stay in the house; they need to go back to the Polk farm. Audrey gives Lee more pain medication and they head downstairs to the front door, afraid to head past Matt's body again. When they get to the door, however, they open it to find the Piggy-Man. Audrey hits him with a crowbar, but he yells and takes off the mask. It's Dylan-- the man who played Ambrose in 'My Roanoke Nightmare'.
