Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the release date for the NTSC/American version of "Tekken 5" for the PS2?

Answer: February 24, 2005

This can be found out on most game websites that have info on "Tekken 5". You could go to gamespot.com and search for "Tekken 5" to find out the release date, as well as other info.
2. What is the name of the extra game that features the character Jin?

Answer: The Devil Within

You can access it from the main menu. It is basically an extra game similar to the Force mode found in several other "Tekken" games. You play as Jin as he travels through 5 different stages trying to get more info on the cursed devil gene that is in his body. Another fact is that once you beat the Devil Within Mode, you unlock Devil Jin as a character in all modes.
3. How many games can you play when you select the arcade history option from the main menu?

Answer: 4

You can select to play the classic "Tekken", "Tekken 2", or "Tekken 3". They are the arcade versions of the game. There is also a hidden game called "Starblade" that you can unlock by playing the Devil Within bonus game.
4. How many rounds must you clear in order to beat the story mode?

Answer: It varies

The first three rounds are randomly determined. The fourth round is against your character's rival. The next three rounds are also random. For some characters though, the seventh round is predetermined against another rival. Round eight is against the boss, Devil Jin. Round nine is the final round where you face the boss, Jinpachi. Also, several characters storylines are more.

For example, Pauls story is 12 rounds long. While most characters rounds last nine rounds, some are longer.
5. In arcade mode how many rounds must you clear to beat the game?

Answer: None. It's an infinite amount

You can earn money in this mode which you can use to buy items for all the characters. You can also increase your characters rank if you win a lot of matches. Every time you beat someone you are given the opportunity to choose your next opponent. The game will randomly select three opponents, each of different rank for you to choose from. Just highlight who you want to fight and you get to fight that person. You keep going until you quit or lose and get game over.
6. How do you unlock the hidden characters?

Answer: Beat story mode

Every time you beat story mode you unlock an extra character. On the character select screen a question mark will be replaced with a character. The characters get unlocked in a predetermined order. On another note, you can unlock Devil Jin by beating the Devil Within game.
7. How many characters are in the game?

Answer: Thirty

It's definitely a lot. It includes all the available characters both new and old as well as the hidden ones. Here is everyone in the game. Anna Williams, Asuka Kazama, Baek Doo San, Bruce Irvin, Bryan Fury, Christie Monteiro, Craig Murduk, Devil Jin, Feng Wei, Ganryu, Heihachi Mishima, Hwoarang, JACK-5, Jin Kazama, Julia Chang, Kazuya Mishima, King, Kuma/Panda (Counted as one), Lee Chaolin, Lei Wulong, Ling Xiaoyu, Marshall Law, Nina Williams, Paul Phoenix, Raven, Roger Jr, Steve Fox, Wang Jinrei, Yoshimitsu, and Mokujin. Note that Eddy Gordo is a costume that you can purchase for Christie. Because he is a character only playable when you use that costume, I am not counting him as a character.
8. Can you play as Jinpachi, the final boss of Story mode?

Answer: Yes

By normal means you can't unlock him. No matter how many stages you beat, or how many times you beat the game you will not unlock him. It is actually possible to play as Jinpachi if you use a Gameshark.
9. How many different types of items can you buy for your characters at the item shop in the game?

Answer: Four

You can buy items for your head, Face, Upper Body, and Lower Body. In each category you can buy a total of five different items that pertain to that part of your characters body. Some items are cheap and easy to get while others are very expensive.
10. What special bonus is there for beating story mode without losing any matches?

Answer: 100,000 bonus G (Money)

It is a somewhat challenge to do, but it can be done. The extra money will help to unlock some of those more expensive items. As stated in a previous question, you can't play as Jinpachi. As for the bowling game it was an extra game featured in "Tekken Tag Tournament" for PS2.
