Euston Station was built as the terminus for the London and Birmingham Railway in the 1830s. It was completely modernised in the 1960s.

Answer: Marylebone

The Great Central Railway opened Marylebone Station as its London terminus at the end of the nineteenth century. It is also well known as the second station on the UK Monopoly board.

Originally opened in the middle of the nineteenth century, the current Waterloo Station was completely rebuilt between 1900 and 1922. A more recent addition has been the first terminus for Eurostar - the rail link to Paris and Brussels through the Channel Tunnel.

Answer: King's Cross

King's Cross was built in the 1850s for the Great Northern Railway. Harry Potter fans know that the Hogwarts Express departs from platform 9 3/4.

Answer: London Bridge

London Bridge was opened in the 1830s, and is the oldest station in London; it was completely rebuilt in the 1970s. The station is about half way between London Bridge itself and Tower Bridge.

Answer: Paddington

Designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Paddington Station was first opened in the 1850s. About a hundred years later Michael Bond wrote a story about a bear who was found by the Brown family; they named him Paddington after the station where they met him.

Answer: St. Pancras

The Midland railway opened their London terminus in the 1860s. From November 2007 the Eurostar trains will run from St. Pancras over a new high-speed rail link to France.

Answer: Victoria

Opened in the 1860s, Victoria has trains which run to Surrey, Kent and Sussex. Victoria is where the first through train to Paris started its journey; the Night Ferry was carried on a boat from Dover to Dunkerque, giving its passengers an uninterrupted night's sleep.

Rochester also has direct trains to Charing Cross and to St Pancras (on the High Speed 1 service).
