Over the years, London has produced bands and singers in all types of genres. From the 1960s we had Rock bands like The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Small Faces, and Deep Purple. From the 1970s we had solo artists like Joe Cocker, Peter Gabriel, Peter Frampton and Phil Collins. The 1980s we saw Erasure, Blancmange, Bronski Beat and The Pet Shop Boys.
As you can see, quite a mixture, and that's without the 1990s onwards. Oasis and Take That come from Manchester, and Rick Astley comes from Lancashire. Craig David comes from Southampton, and Robbie Williams comes from Stoke-on-Trent.
