1. Where was the 1960 Eurovision Song Contest held?

Answer: England

The Netherlands should have held it, but declined, so the UK stepped in to help. The competition was held in the Royal Festival Hall in London, England. Built for the 1951 Festival of Britain, the Hall was the first post-war Grade I listed building. It is the home of the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
2. Which country won the 1960 Eurovision Song Contest?

Answer: France

France won with its song "Tom Pillibi". The song is sung by a woman about her lover, who she says has great riches, then adds that he's a total liar and really doesn't have what she claimed, but she loves him anyway. (The English-language version of the song just covered the part about him being a liar...)
3. The UK's 1960 entry was a song called "Looking High, High, High". Who sang it?

Answer: Bryan Johnson

Bryan Johnson, born in 1926, was an actor who also sang. He was the brother of singer Teddy Johnson.
