Answer: 1974

There were 17 entries and ABBA won the competition for Sweden with the song "Waterloo" and went on to become one of the most commercially successful bands of all time.
4. The 1988 Eurovision Song Contest was won by Canadian singer, Celine Dion. Which country did she represent?

Answer: Switzerland

The 33rd Eurovision Song Contest was held in Dublin, Ireland on 30th April 1988. There were 21 entries and Canadian singer Celine Dion won representing Switzerland with the song "Ne partez pas sans moi". It was the second victory for Switzerland as they had won the first competition held in 1956.

Answer: 13 years old

The 1986 competition was held in Bergen, Norway. It was won by Belgian singer Sandra Kim with her song "J'aime La Vie". After her win it was revealed that her actual age was 13 and there were moves for her to be disqualified although these were unsuccessful. Since then the rules of the competition have been changed and the minimum age for participants is 16.

This means that unless the rules change again Sandra Kim will keep the record for being the youngest winner of the competition.
