Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When was this album was released?

Answer: 1977

Just one year after 'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap'. It was released the same year in Australia as worldwide.
2. How many singles came from this album in the US?

Answer: 3

Only three singles, which are:

'Dog Eat Dog'
'Let There Be Rock'
'Whole Lotta Rosie'

However this album still holds three songs on AC/DC's live tracklist. 'Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be', 'Let There Be Rock' and, of course, the world-famous awesome AC/DC track 'Whole Lotta Rosie'.
3. Who produced this album? (Only last names)

Answer: Vanda and Young

Yeah, the same guys as with the two previous albums, and if you haven't played these quizzes, I now tell you that George is Mal's and Ang's older brother and a former member of The Easybeats.
4. The trademark lightning does not appear in the word 'AC/DC' on this album cover.

Answer: False

This is the first album where the lightning appears, and also the first album where 'ACDC' is written with the red letters we all know.
5. Who is shown on the international cover?

Answer: The whole band

This is their only album cover which shows the whole band. The Australia cover shows a guitar-neck, and some shades of some hands, playing on the neck.
6. Where was the video of the song 'Let There Be Rock' recorded?

Answer: in a church

I guess that the lyric 'Let there be rock', is a pun with God's famous words: 'Let there be light', and also on the cover of the album, a ray of light hits Angus, while he is playing. By the way, the other choice, "on the Bahamas", I put in, because 'Back in Black' actually was recorded in the Bahamian islands' capital, Nassau.
7. What was this album rewarded in the US?

Answer: 2x Platinum

Two times platinum means two millions of copies sold in USA.

The album deserves much more in my opinion! It added three songs to the AC/DC set list, while 'Highway to Hell' only added the title song.
8. Which band does AC/DC refer to when they sing: 'There was a 42 decibel rockin' band?'

Answer: Themselves

The whole songs tells the story of rock n roll, and the last verse is a verse about AC/DC.
9. What club did the '42 decibel rockin' band' play in, according to 'Let There Be Rock'? 'The ______ Hand' (Fill in the missing word)

Answer: Shaking

This is the last verse of the song 'Let There Be Rock'.

'One night in a club called the Shaking Hand,
There was a 42 decibel rockin' band.
And the music was good and the music was loud.
And the singer turned and he said to the crowd:
LET THERE BE ROCK!'
10. Who eats frogs, according to the song 'Dog Eat Dog'?

Answer: The French

On some lyric-pages, it says 'Fish eat frog', but it is 'the French'.
11. Fill in the missing word: 'Gonna tell you a story. 'bout a woman I knew. When it comes to lovin' she steals the show. She ain't exactly pretty. Ain't exactly small. But for __________ you can say she got it all!'

Answer: 42-39-56

When Brian sings this song, it sounds like he adds a '0' in the end of the number.
12. How many different things does Bon say, which are the opposite of what 'they' say, in 'Bad Boy Boogie'?

Answer: 9

One of my favorite AC/DC-songs, also one of the first songs I learned on guitar. The things are:
Go, while they said stop
Slow, while they said fast
Yes, while they said no
Right, while they said left
East, while they said west
Up, while they said down
Round, while they said straight
Found, while they said lost
Bound, while they said free

He actually says 'I said up, and they said down' two times.
13. According to the song 'Let There Be Rock', who had the news?

Answer: Tschaikovsky

This is pretty funny, because in fact this song builds on a line of Chuck Berry's song 'Roll over Beethoven', where Chuck sings: 'Roll over Beethoven and tell Tschaikovsky the news'.
14. Which song of the international album was also released on another international album from 1976 (also an AC/DC-album)?

Answer: 'Problem Child'

'Problem Child' was also released on the album 'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap', however the Dirty Deeds-version started the main riff after the ending solo and then faded out. On this album in the famous AC/DC-way, which are, if you didn't know, a few hits on the drums and a single note from Angus. Live Angus normally does a jump, and lands on the ground on the ending tone.
15. Which AC/DC song is not included on the international version, but is on the Australian?

Answer: Crabsody in Blue

'Crabsody in Blue' is a blues song by AC/DC, this is why 'Problem Child' was added on the version of this album the rest of the world knows.
