When "Do You Want to Know a Secret" became a US Number Two single on the Vee-Jay label it became the first US Top Ten song from The Beatles featuring George Harrison on lead vocals. "Can't Buy Me Love" kept the song from reaching Number One.
"Do You Want to Know a Secret" was backed on the US release by "Thank You Girl".
"Do You Want to Know a Secret" was not released as a single by The Beatles in the UK. Billy J. Kramer with the Dakotas released a cover version which made the UK Top Ten. The flip side was another Lennon-McCartney composition, "I'll Be on My Way".

Freddy Fender recorded his first hit, "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights", in 1959.
