Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Boy Kavalier informs Kirsh that he has a new objective. Which of the following is the new mission?

Answer: Secure the alien lifeforms

Wendy races through the corridors of the Maginot and the south tower in pursuit of the Xenomorph and her captured brother while, at the same time, Kirsh reviews the scientific files of the spacecraft. At the same time, Nibs, Curly, and Tootles handle what creatures they can safely round up, five of which, Kirsh explains, are previously undiscovered species. The crew lost containment; that much is obvious.

In the cargo hold, Slightly keeps his eyes on the eggs that evidently need to be secured.

Nibs, keeping her eyes on the Trypanohyncha Ocellus, asks Curly why she thinks they couldn't keep their names when they became synthetics. Even though they're Lost Boys, half of them are girls, and Wendy still gets to be Wendy, even though she was Marcy. Curly reassures Nibs that she likes her name.

Kirsh's investigation into the ship's research is interrupted when he receives a call from Boy Kavalier. The mission is no longer a rescue mission. Instead, Kirsh and the Lost Boys will secure the site, collect alien lifeforms, and bring them back to Neverland for study. They may be weeks away from a zeitgeist-shifting product, but this is all too exciting.
2. Xenomorph blood is which of the following?

Answer: Acidic

Boy asks after the Lost Boys and while Kirsh admits that the three with him are doing well, Wendy went off to find her brother and Slightly is with her. Boy's not thrilled with this development; she's still a child and they need to keep an eye on their creations. He insists that they be brought back in together, and leaves Kirsh to figure out how. Nibs remarks that it's quite odd; Wendy is out in the real world with all of these alien things.

Wendy appears to be approaching the situation with strong commitment, fortunately. When she stumbles on an underground truck dock, she finds that Joe has been stowed away in one of the trucks, secured to a wall inside. He screams that it's a trap, but she advances nonetheless, tearing him free while the alien arrives to close in its prey. She grabs her weapon, insists that Joe stay behind her, and advances on the Xenomorph...only for it to climb to the roof. When Wendy sticks her blade through the roof to attack it, she and Joe make the critical discovery that its blood is acid.
3. Wendy and Joe fight the Xenomorph through the truck loading bay of the south tower. What happens to the alien in the end?

Answer: It's decapitated

Though Wendy and Joe attempt to evade the Xenomorph's blood and its movements, the alien tips the container truck and its contents over on its side in its entirety, leaving them to regain their footing and weapons and locate each other in the fight. Joe grabs a weapon and calls for his sister, preparing to emerge into the open when the Xenomorph plunges its tail into his back, tossing him across the garage and climbing over to execute its final blow. Fortunately, Wendy is able to use a metal hook to impale the creature's tongue, dragging it over to another room with a large, metal door Joe rushes over and stands by the button to shut the room away, but when he does, both Wendy and the Xenomorph end up inside.

Joe is able to get the door open, but without as much expedience as he would hope. When he's finally able to shine a light into the space, what he finds is a decapitated alien, its blood spilling onto the floor, and Marcy, still standing, but only for a moment as she collapses to the ground. Joe is able to bring himself over to her, but both of them seemingly fall unconscious in the wake of the fight.
4. Which of the following does Morrow claim to be?

Answer: Cyborg

In the Maginot's storage hold, Slightly continues to watch over the eggs, alone, until sounds rock the room. Nervously, Slightly draws his knife only to find that it's just Smee coming through to collect him and Wendy. The two wrestle over the situation but ultimately end up joking with each other, explaining what they've encountered in their time on the Maginot, but their games end when Morrow arrives, holds them at gunpoint, and asks them to step away from the eggs.

Morrow tries to get information out of Slightly and Smee but he realizes that the two of them are just like kids. He quickly finds that they're there for the specimens and explains that he's the Chief Security Officer of the Maginot. On a faraway moon, he and his crew found the eggs they're standing amongst, and on the flight home, one hatched and a monster came out.

The two boys try to leave, afraid to stay around, but Morrow keeps talking to them as he uploads the ship's data into his mind, confessing that Mother told him to prioritize the bounty over the crew. The boys ask if he's a robot, but the truth is that he's a cyborg, stuck in a philosophical puzzle, uncertain if what he did was the right thing. Soon, the Maginot's data is fully transferred and erased from the ship's logs. But there's still the issue of the boys being there.
5. Morrow is able to place a device into whose body?

Answer: Slightly's

Believing Slightly and Smee to be hiding a secret from him, Morrow disengages from the ship and steps forward, drawing a hidden blade and questioning Slightly with a grip on his throat. Fortunately for the boys, Kirsh arrives at this moment, there to retrieve the group of them on Boy's request. None of them-- not even Slightly-- notice as Morrow places a device into the skin of Slightly's neck.

Kirsh knows who Morrow is and he knows what he's doing there on behalf of Yutani. The problem, Morrow says, is that Yutani has spent billions for her specimens and too many lives to give up what's hers. As one of the eggs begins to hatch, he makes his exit, leaving out the back wall where Joe was taken not long before, leaving Kirsh to do what he will with the contents of the storage room.
6. Who, of these, does not head to Neverland alongside the specimens?

Answer: Morrow

In the wake of the group's evening on the Maginot, Kirsh has Prodigy agents come in and collect the specimens, the destroyed Xenomorph, and both Wendy and Joe's bodies. Morrow, as it appears, has vanished; there's no sign of him. Everyone, and all of the specimens they've collected, are brought to Neverland, passing under Boy's watchful eyes. Wendy and Joe are of particular interest, and Joe's troop is brought in alongside them. When the specimens come in, Boy's eyes light up.

Wendy is brought back online for a full firmware review and Dame Sylvia, there to help bring her back online, blames herself for letting a child into an active crash site. Boy, listening in, insists that the others be honest with him about their feelings. The scientists just want to do their jobs and attempt to save her.
7. As a rule, Boy tells Kirsh that no one shall be allowed into the lab with the specimens unless they're which of the following?

Answer: Synthetic

In the labs, Kirsh oversees the Lost Boys as they set up the specimens for observation. He sends the children out as Boy enters the lab, seeing the extraterrestrials up close for the first time, and asks if it was all worth it-- risking the synthetics over something new and shiny. Boy believed Kirsh would be more excited with all the new ground to break, but it seems like he's not. The truth is, he knows the danger at hand. As Boy walks towards the Xenomorph's eggs, Kirsh pushes him back and out of the room-- as a parasite it waits for compatible life to draw near and hatches. On the Maginot, the Xenomorph gestated in the human hosts in the cryo-chambers; it stands to reason it's not safe, even in their labs.

Boy asks Kirsh to lock down the lab. No one can go in or out unless they're synthetic. Kirsh is in charge.

In the lounge, while Slightly and Smee bide their idle time, they're asked about the security officer they encountered on the Maginot. Since there's no sign of Morrow at the crash site, Prodigy has taken the boys' retinal camera feeds in an attempt to learn more. The catch is that Morrow whispered something to Slightly before he departed: "when is a machine not a machine?" Slightly isn't sure what to make of it. None of them are. They are, however, reassured that Morrow will be dead or in custody by the day's end.
8. Who reaches out to Boy in an effort to try to become his favourite Synthetic?

Answer: Curly

Morrow manages to find his way into Prodigy City proper before he steals a phone and calls Yutani for a status report. Yutani takes his call directly, revealing herself to be the granddaughter that Morrow knew sixty-five years ago when the Maginot took off on its journey; she runs the enterprise now. He explains that the creatures have been captured, alive, though he has all the data. He, meanwhile, is to be brought in for a full debrief, even though he believes that he has an in to get the specimens back. These aliens are his life's work.

At Neverland, Boy receives Curly in his chambers as, with Wendy broken, she intends to give a report on the mission. Curly claims to be curious that Wendy is the favourite, but boy says it's merely because she was the first. Nevertheless, she explains she's, in fact, the best because Wendy only cares about her brother; Curly has ideas as to how to make the world better-- ideas that could surpass Boy's one day. He decides to give Curly some books and recordings to digest, and after that, they can play. She's in the race to become a favourite.
9. Morrow claims that before the journey on the Maginot, he had a young son.

Answer: False

Slightly, watching TV in his room in Neverland, receives Morrow's words, disembodied, from the chip that was implanted into his neck on the Maginot, and is forced to contend with this new voice in his mind. While Morrow catches up on the political changes in the world from his absence, he asks the boy if he thought about his riddle: "When is a machine not a machine?" Morrow apologizes for scaring him before, and Slightly begs him to stop, but Morrow continues, saying that he solved the boy's own riddle as to how a synthetic being could have parents.

Morrow admits that he was a father who, at one time, had a little girl, so he gets how Slightly feels. He recalls something wise that Slightly said to him earlier, specifically that everybody needs a friend, and he asks Slightly if they can be friends. Nervously, Slightly agrees.

Elsewhere in the Neverland facility, Nibs wanders the halls while contemplating her eyes. As she walks through, she finds a man spraying the walls of the facility in an attempt to keep a spreading mold at bay.
10. Kirsh is able to excise a parasite from within the creature in the Xenomorph egg. Where does he place it?

Answer: Into a lung

While Dame Sylvia sleeps in the lab next to Wendy's regenerating body, Wendy finally comes back online, awakening and rising from her table. She walks through the facility following the odd frequencies she hears in her head.

In another room, Joe is put through surgery. Awakening in the midst of his operation, he turns his head to find the doctors making a long incision, removing his lung.

In Kirsh's lab, Kirsh, Curly, and Tootles step into a secure chamber to retrieve one of the large eggs, placing it onto an examination table and recording their experiment. While Curly holds the camera, Tootles grabs the suction tube; if the contents escape they'll vacuum it up. Kirsh cuts through the side of the egg and finds the moving contents, trapped within a fluid sac, and he cuts it open, allowing it to emerge into the open air before tasing it to submission.

Wendy arrives at the door to the lab in time to watch Kirsh cut open the creature, excising a small, writhing parasite from within the alien's body, and as he does, the frequencies become too much for her to handle. She collapses as Kirsh drops the parasite into a vial of water. He subsequently brings the vial into another chamber while Boy watches on, placing it into a tank with Joe's removed lung and letting it find its way inside.
