Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. An evolvable scaling item in the Tank category. When evolved, massively bolsters the user's Armors.

Answer: Catalytic Drive

Catalytic Drive is a Tank item mainly intended for long term use against an enemy or opposing team featuring significant Magic damage. When it evolves into Cybernetic Drive, it now gives the user extra Physical and Magical Armor.
2. An Assassin class item giving the buyer Cleave on their Basic Attacks.

Answer: Mindrazor

Cleave essentially takes single target attacks and gives them a small area of effect. Feng Mao and Wukong are a couple of Assassin characters who can make great use of this, as they deal significant damage with their Basic Attacks.
3. A Carry item which focuses on enhancing the buyer's Ultimate Ability.

Answer: Necrosis

In addition to giving pretty great Carry stats, Necrosis gives the buyer 25 Ultimate Haste along with significantly higher damage to the buyer's Ultimate Ability. Any Carry in the game who wants to base their strategy around their Ultimate would be best suited to using this, although Wraith can't get much value out of it in particular since his Ultimate doesn't do any damage to begin with.
4. An Assassin class item meant to enhance the buyer's Movement Speed. Progressively enhances this stat with each Ability cast.

Answer: Painweaver

Painweaver is an excellent tool for Assassins like Yurei or Kallari, as they are Ability focused and massively appreciate the mobility enhancements and Assassin stats provided through Painweaver. Each time the buyer simply casts an Ability at all, they get temporarily added Phys Pen and Movement Speed, even if the Ability misses completely and achieves nothing.
5. A Carry category item that gives Magical Power.

Answer: Plasma Blade

This is basically the signature item of choice for Grim.exe, the single Magical Carry in this game. Even though Skylar does not deal any Magic damage, she actually has Magical scaling baked into her kit, so Plasma Blade makes a lot of sense for her too.

Apart from Magical Power, Plasma Blade does give excellent Carry stats and a useful passive which enhances the buyer's Critical Chance upon landing a Basic Attack.
6. An Assassin item bent on enhancing the buyer's Attack Speed after casting an Ability.

Answer: Syonic Echo

Although Syonic Echo is an Assassin item, it tends to see the most use on certain Junglers like Boris or Carry characters like Wraith. It certainly can and does see use on actual Assassins, but Syonic Echo's stats and Passive are funnily more useful on Fighters or Wraith as a Carry specifically, as he is Ability focused. That said, those seeking to take Carry characters such as Sparrow to the Midlane are also likely to use Syonic Echo, as it comes with perfect stats for a Carry character looking to make an Ability focused build, which is the optimal way to go if playing in the Midlane.
7. A Tank category item, where the buyer is healed slightly anytime they acquire a shield through any means.

Answer: Transference

Transference is a Tank item where the user receives healing equal to 25% of any shield they acquire, once the shield disappears naturally. Tanky characters which have some way to give themselves a shield, such as Terra or Riktor, are best suited using this item.

Tragically, but understandably, this item does not work on Steel's Cybernetic Shell passive, a passive which grants him a permanent shield that regenerates if he does not take damage for seven seconds. Simply put, if Transference did work with Cybernetic Shell, it would be incredibly overpowered and would make Steel virtually impossible to kill.
8. A Support category item which completely reworks the way their Blink functions entirely.

Answer: Warp Stream

Ordinarily, every character in this whole entire game has what's called a "Blink". A Blink warps the user forward a significant distance. It is mainly used to escape bad situations, but can occasionally be used to get in an enemy's face rapidly and unexpectedly.

The drawback to a Blink is that it has a five minute cooldown, a figure which cannot be reduced by stacking Ability Haste or using any sort of item meant to reduce cooldowns.

Warp Stream reworks the Blink entirely, turning it into a "Tele-Blink." A Tele-Blink has a much shorter cooldown of three minutes, and offers the exact same distance and speed of travel as a normal Blink. The catch however, is that unlike a regular Blink, a Tele-Blink becomes briefly disabled for three seconds anytime the buyer takes damage from any source. As such, the Tele-Blink is worse than the regular Blink at escaping a bad situation. However, it is much, much better at being used to get in an enemy's face, making the purpose of Tele-Blink clear; it should only be used by tanky characters who seek to initiate combat with the foe.

Because of how Tele-Blinking works, this item is best reserved for tanky Support characters such as Steel or Mourn. Steel is an especially good choice for Warp Stream, as he already has numerous ways he can escape a bad situation, so sacrificing one of them to be a better initiator is typically a worthwhile choice.
9. A Tank category item which makes enemies near the user be more susceptible to Crowd Control and take extra Magic damage.

Answer: Flux Matrix

Flux Matrix makes all nearby enemies take more Magic damage from all sources. It also reduces their Tenacity, which makes various Crowd Control effects like Stun and Root last longer. This is a slam dunk item on Offlane Steel in particular, but any relatively tanky character boasting Magic damage can make use of this.

It also has situational merit on tankier characters playing Support, if they are playing alongside a Grim.exe Carry, as Grim can readily take advantage of nearby foes taking extra Magic damage.
10. A Support category item granting the buyer added Movement Speed out of combat, as well as incentive to destroy enemy wards.

Answer: Luxforge Lantern

Luxforge Lantern offers a boost to out of combat Movement Speed as well as permanent bonuses to Physical Power if the buyer destroys enemy wards or records takedowns. Two stacks of Luxforge Lantern are granted anytime the buyer achieves one of these things, up to a hard cap of 30.
