Answer: Support

Maco is one of those characters who is very one dimensional, and should generally never see use outside of the Support role. He has a lot of crowd control and some healing to provide assistance to an allied Carry. On the other hand, he has basically no dueling or brawling potential whatsoever, with pitiful scaling numbers and a kit clearly not geared to actually kill things with.

As such, taking Maco outside of the Support role is ill-advised.
2. Maco's stat build is very distinct and unique compared to other characters within the role he is recommended for. What is Maco's strongest stat?

Answer: Mobility

Maco is all about constantly staying on the move, finding somewhere to go, something to do and someone to help. He is, hands down, the fastest Support in the game with the best means to get around the map, or up and down a lane quickly, period.

Maco is fairly one dimensional, as his other three stats are quite underwhelming. However, in profiling like this, Maco is doubtlessly incredibly unique and distinctive. No other Support truly plays the way he is meant to be played. In a metagame where tanks, healers and utilitarians dominate, Maco is very light elements of all three.
3. Maco's Passive is the aptly name Mach Speed. Maco gains stacks of Mach Speed by simply moving without taking damage, up to a cap of twenty five stacks. At twenty-five stacks, Maco gains a helpful immunity to what?

Answer: Slow

At twenty-five stacks, Maco is completely immune to any form of Slow. However, the twenty-five stacks will dissipate instantly if Maco takes any damage, and they will fade away if Maco stands still for a second a half. As such, this Passive very much encourages aggressive play from the player, rewarding them for simply moving and punishing them for standing still.

As Maco gains stacks, he will experience a very minor increase to his Movement speed as well.
4. Maco's Alternate Ability is 'Maco Sparkle!' Maco Sparkle features Maco throw a small gemstone which slowly floats in a straight line. On player input or upon traveling its maximum range, it explodes. What status does the explosion inflict?

Answer: Stun

All Supports have some form of crowd control, and this is Maco's contribution in that regard. The gemstone's slow travel can actually be an asset, as with its fairly large area of effect, this can give the player flexibility on when they deploy it effectively. It is very capable of hitting multiple players at once, and the gemstone can travel through walls, so it could even be used to 'cheese' opponents in that way.

However, the gemstone will diminish entirely if it comes into contact with Steel's Force Shield. As such, Maco players must ensure to use this ability with great care in the presence of an enemy Steel. As Steel is also a Support, this matchup is quite likely to eventually happen.
5. Maco's Primary Ability is 'Maco Gift!' and Maco Gift profiles as Maco's means to keep an ally, or himself, alive as a healing tool. What stat of Maco's most influences how much this Ability heals for?

Answer: Magical Power

Players seeking to lean into Maco's healing capabilities are advised to stick to items which grant Magical Power, as this is the sole and only stat Maco Gift scales off of. Items such as Windcaller, Crystal Tear or Dynamo can best serve this need.
6. Maco's Secondary Ability is 'Maco Fly!' And this Ability, on paper, functions as a very simple jump maneuver, where Maco can either use it to engage with an enemy, or flee a bad situation. Most jump Abilities across this game reward the user if they're able to land directly atop an enemy player. Maco Fly is no exception. What reward does Maco gain for landing directly atop an enemy?

Answer: A shield

The size and statistical value shield is mostly based off of Maco's Magical Power, though it also does lightly scale off of his Maximum HP as well. In addition to gaining this shield, Maco's target will also be very briefly Slowed.

Maco is a very fast paced character intended for players who enjoy being very aggressive. Gaining this shield as a means of protection further enables Maco to initiate fights for his allies or peel an enemy off of an allied Carry, by slowing them down.

Those looking to lean into Maco's tankiness and usage of Maco Fly will be best suited building tanky Support items, such as Frosted Lure or Vanguardian.
7. Maco's Ultimate Ability is 'Maco Strike!' and Maco Strike carries unique properties with it, featuring Maco develop a huge gemstone underneath him, then launch it at foes to push them back greatly and afflict Stun. This is a chargeable skill. Charging it increases what aspect?

Answer: Stun duration

If the player simply presses and doesn't hold the Ability, thus not charging it at all, the Stun will barely last a quarter of a second. If the Ability is fully charged, the Stun will be just shy of two full seconds. While the difference of roughly a second and three quarters doesn't sound like much, in conjunction with the displacement this Ability offers, it can get to be quite overwhelming.

This is an amazing Ultimate to have on hand during team fights especially, as it is very good at displacing enemies.
8. Like all Heroes, Maco may choose one of three Augments. The first option is Shatterbloom. This adds a new trait to Maco Strike, letting it spawn a small circular area that does what?

Answer: Heal

The space where Maco lands will now spawn a decently sized green circle for several seconds. Teammates who stand in this circle will be healed. Maco could now use Maco Strike to intentionally land on top of a teammate as a secondary means of healing them.

However, it has awkward synergy with how Maco should generally be played, as it now discourages the use of this Ability as an initiation tool. As such, it is a fairly awkward choice of Augment, as the type of player who would want to play Maco in the first place is unlikely to take an Augment encouraging defensive, passive play. That said, it is useful with unique utility that is consistently valuable, so you could certainly do worse for an Augment.
9. Maco's second Augment is Ferocious Flight. This rewards skilled use of Maco Fly, by enhancing its already existing benefits for if Maco is able to land squarely atop another player with it. Ferocious Flight offers one added benefit to Maco Fly. What benefit is it?

Answer: Reduced Cooldown

Maco Fly has a significantly higher cooldown than most jumping related skills, such as Greystone's Assault the Gates or Bayle's Skullcrusher. Ferocious Flight can potentially bring the cooldown in line with those skills, on top of enhancing the shield Maco receives when jumping atop an enemy player with it.

Ferocious Flight additionally does activate when Maco lands atop a non hero, such as a minion, but at a much reduced rate. This added benefit is odd and will basically never be of use, as Maco shouldn't waste his jump on AI controlled enemies who are none the wiser for Maco doing it.
10. Maco's final Augment is Longshot. This enhances Maco Sparkle, but how?

Answer: Added Damage

The added damage is based on how far the projectile travels: the further it travels, the most damage it deals. Simply put, this Augment is completely worthless for Maco in his intended role as Support. As a Support character, Maco's damage will be negligible, and this Augment doesn't move the needle in that regard in any significant way.

This Augment only has a chance at seeing the light of day if Maco is played outside of the Support role, which in and of itself is a bad idea. If a player is truly adventurous and wants to try anyway, this would probably be the Augment they'd want to choose. But even with this Augment, Maco's damage output is bad, so said player really needs to be good at using Maco, and they need to lock in. They'll also probably need to have the thick skin to endure teammates berating them at draft menu for choosing Maco in a damage dealing role.
