Question 1 of 10
1. Neon is talented at hurting people digitally from afar as a hacker. This translates perfectly into her Omeda-recommended role. What has Omeda Studios recommended Neon for? Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. What is Neon's highest stat? Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. Neon's Passive is Neural Network. By simply casting an Ability, Neon will gain a mechanic exclusive to herself known as a stack of Flow. After accumulating enough Flow stacks, the next Ability to be cast gains what's called an Overclock effect. How many Flow stacks are needed to reach Overclock status? Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. Erase Vector is Neon's Alternate Ability. It functions as a very unique take on what would normally be an ordinary dash. Most dashes or leaps in this game have one trait exclusive to the character performing it. Neon's unique trait comes while she is actively dashing. What is unique to Neon's dash? Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. L.I.N.X is Neon's Primary Ability. Despite the fancy name, this is a simple boomerang-esque projectile, where Neon shoots an orb at a target location, and it then returns to her manually. This Ability is Neon's main way of dealing True damage, but it is limited in how it does so. What is the only scenario in which L.I.N.X can deal True and not Magical damage? Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. Data Burst is Neon's Secondary Ability. When specifically Overclocked, this Ability actually offers Neon some helpful crowd control. When Overclocked, what status can Data Burst afflict enemies with? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. Final Thread is Neon's Ultimate, where she promises it will be "deleting your final existence from the web." This can function as an attack, or Neon can instead use its buffing properties and Overclock affinity. What is one buff received when initially casting Final Thread? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. Neon may choose one of three Hero Augments. Her first choice is RAM, rewarding Neon for being involved with as many fights as possible. On recording either a kill or assist, Neon gains a permanent bonus to which stat? Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. Neon's second choice for a Hero Augment is Dox. Dox is incredibly transformative for an Augment, as it straight up takes away Neon's wards and replaces them with Dox, her own exclusive vision item. Wards can be manually placed in an area, and they will detect enemy movement at or close to that area. Dox works similarly, only it cannot be simply placed anywhere. Dox will detect enemy movement in what way? Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. Neon's final Augment is Ghost in the Machine, applying a simple beneficial status effect whenever Neon dashes using Erase Vector. What status does she very briefly receive on doing so? Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Neon is talented at hurting people digitally from afar as a hacker. This translates perfectly into her Omeda-recommended role. What has Omeda Studios recommended Neon for?

Answer: Midlane

Neon is a pretty straightforward mage, so the Midlane is an equally unsurprising venture for her. Neon is unique in this role for outputting a lot of True damage, being the first Midlaner capable of dealing significant quantities of this damage type with just her base kit alone.
2. What is Neon's highest stat?

Answer: Ability Power

As a Midlane mage, Neon is naturally best suited dishing out Abilities as much as can be. Neon is especially tied to this stat, as she is most well known as a Midlaner for dealing lots of True damage, which is something other mages don't have. Her Basic Attacks do absolutely no True damage however, so for Neon to stand out as a True damage-dealing mage, she must lean into her Abilities as any Midlaner would.

Answer: Three

Neon will gain a Flow stack even if the Ability misses entirely and does not harm anything at all. Once Overclocked, the next Ability she casts will gain enhanced benefits. Overclock is mainly how Neon dishes out True damage, which is basically the single most unique thing to Neon's entire kit and what she stands out for doing as a Midlaner.

As such, prospective Neon players must ensure they have a plan to utilize Neural Network, as it is extremely important to Neon's identity as a Midlaner. If not Overclocked, Neon's kit is distinctively designed to be weaker to compensate for her potential to deal True damage that other mages can not.

Answer: She is (almost completely) invincible during the dash

The one and only thing capable of damaging Neon while she is using Erase Vector would be if she dashes straight into the enemy base. Nothing in this game can override touching an enemy base, even intangibility. Simply making contact with the enemy base will instantly kill whomever is trying to occupy space here.

Other than that, however, Neon cannot take damage while using Erase Vector. Additionally, the next Basic Attack she uses after casting Erase Vector will explode on contact and deal much more damage than usual.

When Overclocked, Neon can cast Erase Vector a second time up to three seconds after she performs the Basic Attack, at zero added cost.

Answer: When the orb is returning to Neon

When the orb is being shot out initially, it still hurts for sure, but can only do Magical damage. When the orb is actively returning to Neon, if it passes through anything, whatever it passes through will now take True damage. This remains the case whether or not the Ability is being Overclocked. Being Overclocked simply causes the orb to emit a minor explosion on impact before returning to Neon as per usual.

Attempting to hit foes with this projectile on the way back is difficult, especially playing against experienced players who know you are trying to do exactly this. As such, this Ability shines its brightest during team fights, where enemies may not be paying especially sharp attention to Neon or her projectiles, making it easier to land crucial True damage against them.
6. Data Burst is Neon's Secondary Ability. When specifically Overclocked, this Ability actually offers Neon some helpful crowd control. When Overclocked, what status can Data Burst afflict enemies with?

Answer: Mesmerize

If specifically fighting an enemy Renna, Neon can match her Mesmerize with a Mesmerize of her own. Data Burst also does not force Neon to first announce the move by propelling herself in the air like Renna's Stupor does, so Data Burst would be a lot easier to land Mesmerize with as a result.

If not Overclocked, Data Burst will instead afflict enemies with Slow. This could actually still be deceptively useful, as deliberately choosing not to Overclock Data Burst and using it for its Slow could situationally make it easier to net True damage off of a followup L.I.N.X cast.
7. Final Thread is Neon's Ultimate, where she promises it will be "deleting your final existence from the web." This can function as an attack, or Neon can instead use its buffing properties and Overclock affinity. What is one buff received when initially casting Final Thread?

Answer: All Abilities are Overclocked

All three of Neon's Abilities will be automatically Overclocked for several seconds until Final Thread wears off. Additionally, her jump height is doubled and she gains a minor movement speed buff for this duration.

Alternatively, the player may instead re-cast Final Thread a second time to immediately end the buff and instead have Neon fire an enormous bomb at a target location, dealing major Magical damage. The bomb also comes with a psuedo-Execute, so it will deal more damage the less HP the target has remaining.

However, the bomb's scaling properties are actually quite poor per the standard of an Ultimate. This was likely a balancing maneuver, accounting for the fact that Neon effectively has two Ultimates wedged into one.
8. Neon may choose one of three Hero Augments. Her first choice is RAM, rewarding Neon for being involved with as many fights as possible. On recording either a kill or assist, Neon gains a permanent bonus to which stat?

Answer: Mana Regen

Mana Regen is vitally important to Neon, moreso than arguably any mage not named Argus. So, being rewarded with permanent added Mana Regen and a little bit of Magical Power can be quite useful. The only criticism this Augment could have of it is that it literally does absolutely nothing until Neon lands a kill or assist, and it does not help her to get this takedown.

As well, half of the so-called "permanent" gains from RAM will be lost if Neon takes a death.

Answer: Close proximity to Neon's current location

The main benefit to Dox is that, while holding a usable Dox, Neon will gain boosts to her Magical Power and Maximum Mana. This much is nice. But is it worth basically losing her ability to keep tabs on the unseeable Jungle? With Dox, Neon can no longer place Wards in the Jungle, which will make it impossible for her to foresee and prepare for any lane invasions. As a midlaner, this is extremely detrimental, as the Midlane is the most invaded lane in the game by far.

Simply put, unless the player is doing something silly like using Neon as a Carry, where they'd then have a Support who could handle the Warding, Dox is very, very dangerous and arguably detrimental of an Augment to try out. It is only especially good for players who play extremely defensively, to the point where they would play so passively that an enemy lane invasion wouldn't succeed anyway. This, of course, is generally a pretty bad playstyle to try and develop especially for a damage dealing role who is generally prompted to be at least somewhat aggressive.
10. Neon's final Augment is Ghost in the Machine, applying a simple beneficial status effect whenever Neon dashes using Erase Vector. What status does she very briefly receive on doing so?

Answer: Stealth

When Stealthed, enemy Wards will fail to detect the user and they will not appear on enemy mini maps at all in anyway. In this case though, the Stealth lasts for one whole second. As well, Neon is not a Jungler and is not trying to ambush anyone. Not that she could plausibly try to do so with a whole one second anyway. As such, this Augment is kind of a joke sadly, as it simply does not actually do anything useful for Neon. Even if you were bold (dumb) enough to try her out as a Jungler, one whole second isn't enough time to do anything of note with.

Kallari is an actual jungler who can Stealth herself for significantly longer and doesn't need an Augment to do so. Heck, even Wraith can Stealth himself for longer without needing an Augment. If you were looking for a Midlaner who can perform mind games with Stealth, Wraith would absolutely be far, far better for this than Neon, Ghost in the Machine or not.
