Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. A talented sniper, Wraith is a master of espionage and coming up with really clever liners every time he nails a shot from his sniper rifle. Omeda Studios has recommended him for two roles. What is one?

Answer: Carry

Wraith is recommended for both the Carry and Midlane roles. Plenty of Carry characters, such as Sparrow and Twinblast, have seen Midlane use. Some Midlaners, such as Lt. Belica, have seen Carry use. However, Wraith is the only character actually formally recommended for both roles.
2. Wraith's stat build, like the man himself, is incredibly quirky and contains a lot of nuance. What is his highest stat?

Answer: Ability Power

In 9/10 cases, these stats convey the strength of the entirety of a character's kit; Ability Power, for example, tends to suggest that a character's entire kit is good or bad. In Wraith's case, it isn't that simple. Despite possessing an 8 for Ability Power, Wraith's entire kit is set up for one single Ability if his to deal almost all of his damage; the rest of his kit aims to set these opportunities up, and itself is quite lacking in damage output.

Wraith is notable for being the only Ability-focused Carry in the game.
3. Wraith's "Passive" is known as Who's There? But Who's There isn't really passive at all, giving Wraith an exclusive Vision Item called Sonar Drones. What is one thing Sonar Drones can do that ordinary Stealth Wards cannot?

Answer: Detect invisible enemies

Certain enemies such as Kallari and, ironically Wraith himself, are capable of turning invisible and briefly becoming hidden to Stealth Wards. Wards are often used to warn laners of an incoming enemy invasion to their lane, so Kallari being able to circumvent this is big in allowing her to assassinate her target. Sonar Drones counter this, as they will detect any and all nearby enemies without fail, regardless of what they do.

Wraith can also shoot his Sonar Drones a fair distance away, meaning he does not have to even enter the Jungle to risk bumping into, say, the enemy Kallari he is trying to keep an eye out for.
4. Knock, Knock! is unfit for the title of Wraith's Alternate Ability, as it is by far Wraith's most noteworthy attack and what he throws his weight behind to win games. Which of the following is true about Knock, Knock!?

Answer: It is Wraith's only Ability with significant damage scaling

Nanite Grenades deal damage, but the damage output is pitiful and the scaling is beyond putrid, clearly indicating that Nanite Grenades were not intended to do significant damage. On the other hand, Knock Knock! has significant scaling that outpaces most Abilities in this game. It is the only Ability Wraith has with any sort of real scaling. As such, it is absolutely paramount that Wraith lands this Ability as, if he does not, there would literally be Support characters with the means to deal more damage than he does.

It's landing Knock, Knock! that gives Wraith a reputation as a punishing character to play. Wraith can turn heads (and make them roll) with this Ability, just as easily as he can become a plastic doll on the battlefield when missing this Ability.
5. Peekaboo! is Wraith's Primary Ability, where he throws a Nanite Grenade at a target location. If it hits an enemy player, it will "Mark" them. What is one of the effects of "Marking" them?

Answer: Wraith can see them through walls

Knock, Knock! can always hit through walls, so being able to see enemies through walls clearly gives Wraith a massive advantage, especially if the enemy can't see him back.

Additionally, if Wraith hits a Marked target with Knock, Knock! it will set Knock, Knock's Ability Cooldown to literally one second. Between the benefit of landing Nanite Grenade and the benefit to landing follow up Knock, Knock shots, Wraith is perhaps more thoroughly rewarded for precision than any other character in the game. A Wraith who is on point can delete enemies faster than anyone, and can potentially do so through walls where enemies probably can't hit him back.
6. Surprise, Surprise! is Wraith's Secondary Ability, a move incapable of dealing damage and instead offering utility. When this Ability is cast, what happens to Wraith after a brief delay?

Answer: He turns invisible

Some characters, such as Lt. Belica, have what's called a "flowchart" combo: basically, opponent does X, Belica uses X and chains X into a two or three hit combo using her kit, the combo staying straightforward in order.

Wraith has one combo he will use in a neutral situation: use Surprise, Surprise! to turn invisible, get into position to hit enemies with Peekaboo! and then hope your hand is steady enough to land the payoff Knock, Knock!

This combo remains consistent when and wherever Wraith goes, only changing even slightly if a threat abruptly gets right in Wraith's face and forces a hastily, desperately fired Knock, Knock that does not have the setup attached to it.

Unfortunately for Wraith, Omeda Studios thought this combo was too overpowered for some reason, but to avoid tinkering with the damage output or any other tangible number, Omeda Studios makes Wraith loudly call out "Surprise, Surprise is up!" before turning invisible. This alerts enemies that the Wraith player is possibly about to try and begin their Knock, Knock combo on them.
7. Wraith's Ultimate is Back it Up! and like most of his kit, Back it Up! takes quite a lot of planning to use. How much damage does this Ultimate Ability deal?

Answer: It doesn't

Back it Up! works on any enemy Wraith can physically see that is within the range of Knock, Knock! at approximately 1750 units. If this condition is met, Wraith will initiate the cast and mark the location his target is standing in. After two seconds, this target will be immediately teleported to the space Wraith marked.

This Ability does take a pretty extreme amount of care to effectively use, as its objective is clearly to set Wraith and any nearby allies up to deal damage, not to deal damage itself. It is best reserved for use during team fights, or to run down a fleeing assailant. In particular, it would be best to try and establish voice communication with teammates before deploying this, as to alert them that an enemy is about to be forcibly moved to a certain location so that everyone can be ready to lay into them when the teleportation happens.
8. Wraith may choose one of three Hero Augments. The first option is Sniper's Bounty, rewarding the player even more for properly landing Knock, Knock! with what?

Answer: Gold

The bonus gold applies if Wraith kills with Knock, Knock! and this bonus is increased massively if the killing Knock, Knock! is against an enemy player.
9. Mystic Marksman is Wraith's second Hero Augment option, another enhancement to Knock, Knock! Mystic Marksman alters the way Knock, Knock works completely, but how?

Answer: It now deals Magic damage

This is typically the mandatory Augment of choice if Wraith is being chosen specifically as a Midlaner. The reason it is mandatory is that Wraith cannot deal significant Magic damage without it, and ranged Magic damage is a hallmark need for Midlaners in most situations.

The only time this can be relaxed is if a significant source of Magic damage exists elsewhere on the team. That said, ranged Magic damage is typically the responsibility of the Midlaner, so if the team doesn't boast significant Magic damage elsewhere, Wraith absolutely need this Augment to fill Midlane duties.
10. Illusionist is Wraith's final choice of Augment, buffing Surprise, Surprise! in what way?

Answer: It now affects allies

At the cost of an added cooldown, Wraith's Surprise, Surprise! will now conceal nearby allies in addition to himself. As you might expect, this is best served when Wraith is a Carry and has an allied Support with him, as this would allow Wraith to conceal his allied Support with Surprise, Surprise!

Typically, Supports are trying to protect the Carry, and would be best suited if Wraith only made himself invisible and incentivized enemies to target the Support instead. That said, the allied Support could find themselves getting overwhelmed or struggling to keep up, in which case this Augment could allow Wraith to, funnily enough, support his Support.
