Danganronpa Trivia Questions

1. At the beginning of Chapter 6, which character goes berserk and begins destroying the school and the grounds?

From Quiz
"Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony" Part 6

Answer: Keebo

Keebo claims that he can no longer hear his "inner voice" that guided him from the beginning of the game. In a desperate attempt to end the Killing Game, Keebo goes on a rampage and fights the newly resurrected Monokubs in their exisals. He will also destroy parts of the school in order to give his friends access to previously blocked areas.

2. Kaito is the only student whose lab is revealed in this chapter. However, Rantaro's lab is also shown but it cannot be entered for what reason?

From Quiz "Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony" Part 5

Answer: Because Rantaro is dead

Rantaro's lab is revealed to be next to Shuichi's. However, Monokuma forbids anyone from entering it on account of Rantaro's death in the first chapter. The students are disappointed because Rantaro's Ultimate Talent is still a mystery and they were hoping his lab would provide a clue toward his true identity. Monokuma explains the labs will only remain open so as long as a student is alive. This seems to be a haphazardly enforced rule as several other deceased students' labs could be entered after their deaths.

3. What item, which Kokichi stole and ran off with, was Monokuma's motive for Chapter 4?

From Quiz "Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony" Part 4

Answer: Card key

In addition to the items that unlock Tsumugi, Shuichi and Keebo's labs, Monokuma gives the students a card key and tells them they have to figure out what it unlocks. As the students are discussing where to look and if they even should bother, Kokichi steals it and runs off. He disappears for most of the beginning portion of the chapter.

4. As a reward for completing the first trial, Monokuma gives the students a bunch of strange items that will unlock new parts of the school. Whose lab is not opened during this time?

From Quiz "Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony" Part 2

Answer: Rantaro

Gonta, Ryoma, Maki, Himiko and Kirumi all receive access to their labs during this chapter. All of the labs are located in newly accessible areas of the school the students are able to unlock with the strange items. Rantaro's lab is not revealed until Chapter 5 and it cannot be accessed until Chapter 6 because Rantaro is dead and dead students' labs are sealed off.

5. Sixteen more Ultimate students are forced to participate in another killing. Like the first two games, the students are reluctant to kill each other even when supplied a motive. What is Monokuma's first motive?

From Quiz "Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony" Part 1

Answer: There will be no class trial

Monokuma states that in order to speed things along, whoever kills another student first can simply admit to it and leave the game without having a class trial. While this does provide some strategy talk about whether anyone should take advantage of this, it still fails to produce a murder victim.

6. After Chiaki's execution, the remaining five students are able to enter the ruins. What is the password to gain entrance?

From Quiz "Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" Part 6

Answer: 11037

Those who played the first game will recognize 11037 as the bloody message Sayaka left for Makoto in the first chapter if that game. Sayaka attempted to write the name of her killer (Leon) in blood but it wound up looking like 11037. That message saved Makoto's life. Because the number is of such significance to Makoto and it is the password to ruins, there is some connection between the previous game's hero and the Killing School Trip of this game.

7. To begin his very complex plan to expose the traitor, Nagito blew up which building?

From Quiz "Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" Part 5

Answer: Hotel lobby

Nagito became obsessed with revealing the traitor and vowed to do so by any means necessary. The other students team up to stop him, but Nagito is too chaotic to be controlled. One day, Nagito blows up the hotel lobby. No one is seriously injured despite everyone being in the lobby at the time. He warns everyone that the explosion is just a small sample of what he has in store for them.

8. What is different about Nekomaru once he joins the group at the beginning of chapter four?

From Quiz "Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" Part 4

Answer: He's a robot

Monokuma refuses to say exactly what happened to Nekomaru in the previous chapter. However, introduces a new and improved Nekomaru to the group, a Nekomaru robot. The new Nekomaru comes equipped with all kinds of features and gadgets like an internal clock. Nekomaru is just like any other student. He can be murdered or murder and must also follow all of the rules everyone else does.

9. Who built a shrine to Mahiru in the hotel's dining room?

From Quiz "Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" Part 3

Answer: Hiyoko

The notoriously grouchy Hiyoko only got along with Mahiru for the most part. Mahiru helped her tie her kimono and showed her how to do it. Hiyoko built a tribute to Mahiru with some of the many photographs Mahiru took during her brief stay in the killing school field trip. However, the shrine turned out to be rather morbid in grey and black and generally creepy. It freaked a lot of the other students out who were offended by it.

10. While the previous game took place in Hope's Peak Academy, "Danganronpa 2: Good-Bye Despair" takes place where?

From Quiz "Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" Part 1

Answer: Jabberwock Island

This class of ultimates from Hope's Peak Academy is sent to Jabberwock Island. The first scene of the game does take place at the academy but the students are sent on a field trip to Jabberwock Island, the collective name for a group of tropical islands, by their teacher. The field trip is initially advertised as a reward full of peace and fun but things quickly change.

11. Who rescues Makoto from the trash dump?

From Quiz "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc" Part 6

Answer: Kyoko

After Makoto barely escaped his execution in the previous chapter, he lands in the trash dump. Kyoko still has the Monokuma key so she followed Makoto to the dump, unlocked the door to the school and the two climbed back into the school proper.

12. As revealed at the beginning of Chapter 5, Sakura committed what act of defiance before she died?

From Quiz "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc" Part 5

Answer: She broke the lock on the Headmaster's office

Before she committed suicide, Sakura broke the lock on the door of the headmaster's office, a clear violation of the rule stating that locks could not be broken or picked. She did this in order to aid her fellow students escape before she committed suicide. She would have been executed anyway for breaking the rule had she not killed herself before Monokuma got to her.

13. The morning following Leon's execution, the remaining students discover what has happened?

From Quiz "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc" Part 2

Answer: New parts of the school have opened up

After Leon is executed (and after each subsequent class trial) new parts of the school open up for exploration which reveals more clues as to what the students are doing in the school and who is behind it. In this case, the second floor opens up in addition to the first-floor bathhouse. The second floor contains the swimming pool, locker rooms, more classrooms, the library and accompanying archives and more bathrooms.

14. What happens to Makoto the minute he steps foot into Hope's Peak Academy?

From Quiz "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc" Part 1

Answer: He passes out

When Makoto first enters the school, he passes out and wakes up alone in a classroom. Afterward, he explores the school and learns the same thing happened to the other fourteen students he meets.

15. Which character does not complete the Death Road of Despair with the others?

From Quiz "Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony" Part 5

Answer: Kokichi

After Gonta's execution, Kokichi went on a bit of trip and started acting even more erratically and believed he was controlling everything. The six other students decide they have no choice but to confront Monokuma and end the Killing Game, even if it costs them their lives. They try to ambush Monokuma in the gym, only to meet Kokichi there. Kokichi insists he also wants to end the Killing Game but no one believes him. He gives the rest of the group weapons that Miu made to aid their battle. These weapons include electrohammers and electrobombs which can disrupt mechanical devices and do substantial damage. Instead of battling Monokuma, however, the students decide it might be better to use these weapons to help them through the Death Road of Despair which was impossible for them in the first chapter. Kokichi remains behind, however, leaving the other six to complete it themselves.

16. Who was NOT a member of Angie's student council?

From Quiz "Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony" Part 3

Answer: Miu

Angie's mental wellbeing was in obvious decline after Kirumi's execution. She started relying on Atua's words even more frequently and began recruiting others to do the same. She became obsessed with the idea that they could all live in harmony if they just followed Atua's every word. She formed a student council consisting of six people: herself, Gonta, Tsumugi, Keebo, Himiko and Tenko. The student council acted as something of a police force and began enforcing its own rules such as forbidding late night meetups and gatherings. The Student Council was overly strict but rarely succeeded in stopping the others from doing what they wanted. Tenko tells Shuichi, Kaito and Maki that she doesn't really believe in Angie's Atua cult and only joined to protect Himiko whom she felt was being brainwashed. The four visit Angie to try and convince her to disband her plans but she refuses. They also learn that Angie locks her lab from the inside (since Monodam ate the key) and won't allow anyone to see her except for the Student Council members.

17. This chapter's motive is a throwback to the series' very first motive: videos from loved ones. However, the Monokubs mix up everyone's video. Whose video does Shuichi receive?

From Quiz "Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony" Part 2

Answer: Kaito

The Monokubs distribute motive videos on Monokub pads. Each video features a student's loved ones delivering a message before disappearing violently. Shuichi receives Kaito's video which features his grandparents encouraging him to work hard at becoming an astronaut. Shuichi wonders if he should give Kaito his video even though Kaito was angry with him. At the trial, Monokuma seems confused about video mixed up, indicating every student was supposed to receive his or her own video. However, later he claims the mix up was intentional.

18. Which student suggests that someone kill him to take advantage of the motive?

From Quiz "Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony" Part 1

Answer: Ryoma

Ryoma, the Ultimate Tennis Pro, is a somewhat depressed teenager who admits to killing someone prior to entering the Killing Game. As a result, he no longer has a zest for life or tennis. He suggests to the group that the strongest among them should kill him and take advantage of the no class trial motive. This way, the killer could escape the school and go seek help in the outside world. The group rejects this suggestion, however, and vows to escape together.

19. In the Chapter 0 interlude, which character has an unusual arm?

From Quiz "Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" Part 6

Answer: Nagito

Chapter 0 is a brief interlude before the final chapter begins. It takes place on the ship to Jabberwock Island at the beginning of the game. Nagito can be seen talking to an unknown person about hope and despair. It is then revealed by the unknown speaker that Nagito has potentially been up to no good as evidenced by his arm. One of Nagito's arm clearly belongs to a girl. It has long, painted nails and is noticeably more slender than the other. This is not a physical feature Nagito possessed on the island, however.

20. What did Nagito claim would disarm the bombs he set up in the factory?

From Quiz "Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" Part 5

Answer: The traitor's ehandbook

Nagito reveals the next phase of his plan. He has hidden a large stash of bombs somewhere in the island chain that is powerful enough to destroy everything. He only gives them a vague clue that it is somewhere everyone has been. The other students assume Nagito is lying and search the three places they had not visited: Monomi's hut, the castle and the ruins. They find nothing. Eventually, they find the stash in the Monokuma plushie factory along with a video message from Nagito. In it, he says that the bombs can be disarmed if the traitor (whom he claims to know the identity of) scans his or her ehandbook into the computer. Although some students scan there books, not all of them do and time begins to wind down. At the last second, Sonia runs in and says the bombs are fake and she knows this because she found one and tested it. It didn't blow up.

21. What is the special prize the students receive for riding the roller coaster?

From Quiz "Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" Part 4

Answer: A dossier about the students from the previous game

Fourth Island is a large amusement park that houses many amenities. Among them is a roller coaster. Monokuma challenges all of the remaining students to ride the chaotic roller coaster in order to receive a prize. Although some students admit fear, they all do it. Monokuma hands over a dossier about the six surviving students from the first game. The dossier is inscribed with the same logo found on the ruins, leading them to believe these six students are part of the Future Foundation and are responsible for the killing school trip. In addition, they notice the photo of Byakuya Togami does not resemble the Byakuya who was on the island with them and was murdered in the first chapter.

22. What is the name of the movie that is showing at the cinema on Third Island?

From Quiz "Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" Part 3

Answer: The Wizard of Monomi

Monokuma took up film making and debuts his original creation "The Wizard of Monomi" on Third Island's cinema. Hajime refuses to watch it initially and thus the player does not see the film until the end of the chapter. The film is a clear parody of "The Wizard of Oz" and stars Monokuma as he goes on a killing spree of different Monomis dressed as characters from "The Wizard of Oz".

23. Which building on Second Island cannot be accessed immediately?

From Quiz "Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" Part 2

Answer: The ruins

Second Island is home to a number of new buildings including the diner, the library and the beach house - all of which can be entered and used immediately. The one place that is locked is the ruins which look suspiciously like Hope's Peak Academy only overrun by vines, trees and foliage. The front door is locked and requires a password to enter. There is also an unusual symbol on the door which appears to be the Japanese word for "future". Monokuma explains it is the symbol for the Future Foundation who is responsible for bringing the students to the island in the first place.

24. What was Monomi's name before Monokuma attacked her and transformed her into his little sister?

From Quiz "Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" Part 1

Answer: Usami

Usami serves, initially, as the class's teacher who vows to protect them from some unknown entity. She is a white rabbit with a magic wand and a tutu/dress. However, when Monokuma arrives, he attacks Usami and transforms her into Monomi who is now half pink/half white with no magical powers and wearing a diaper. In appearance, she resembles Monokuma who now takes charge of the field trip.

25. What reason does Kyoko give for forcing Monokuma to redo the trial looking into the death of Mukuro Ikusaba?

From Quiz "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc" Part 6

Answer: The Killing Game is televised

In the previous chapter, Monokuma told the students the Killing Game was being broadcast around the world and that the mastermind seized control of the airwaves. The mastermind's ultimate goal is to spread despair by defeating hope as personified by the nation's brightest students at Hope's Peak Academy. However as Kyoko pointed out, the plan would never work because Monokuma and the mastermind stopped playing fair. Kyoko argued that viewers would not be convinced to abandon hope and join despair if the game was not fair. Specifically, Kyoko said the mastermind erred by punishing Makoto for the murder he did not commit. If the game is rigged, then despair cannot win fairly and the mastermind would not gain supporters. Monokuma refuses to admit this but concedes to have another class trial.

26. What was the "treasure" that Monokuma lost?

From Quiz "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc" Part 5

Answer: A key

Specifically, it was a key shaped like Monokuma that could open any locked door in the school. It is not clear when this key went missing but Monokuma was angry about it and implied that Kyoko was the one who stole it, which is later confirmed to be true.

27. Who does Toko/Genocide Jack attack and injure in the dining hall?

From Quiz "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc" Part 4

Answer: Hina

Monokuma wastes no time with his next motive and reveals to the group that Sakura is a traitor. Sakura confesses and says she was about to reveal this herself anyway as she had grown close to the others and wishes to defeat the mastermind. Sakura also said she never actually betrayed anyone. She was supposed to begin the killing game the first night but she never killed anyone. The reason she agreed to turn on the group in the first place is because the mastermind took over her family's dojo which had belonged to the Ogamis for centuries. Sakura had to commit a murder in order for the mastermind to return the dojo to its rightful owners. Naturally, the rest of the students were furious with Sakura and could no longer trust her. Hina defended Sakura, who is her best friend. Kyoko tries to play mediator and says that argument is exactly what Monokuma wanted. Not only is everyone turning against Sakura, they are also turning against everyone else. Toko (as Genocide Jack) always hated Hina and attacks her for defending her friend. Hina's injuries are minor but she requires treatment in the nurse's office.

28. While exploring the third floor, Makoto discovers a photograph of whom?

From Quiz "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc" Part 3

Answer: Mondo, Leon and Chihiro

While the students split up, looking for clues and an escape route, Makoto finds a photograph in the art room of Mondo, Leon and Chihiro bonding. This is suspicious because not only because all three are dead but also because it appears to be taken within Hope's Peak Academy. However, the windows are not blocked by metal plates which means the photo was taken before the students were trapped. Yet, none of the students knew each other before that faithful day. To add to the confusion, Makoto also finds a camera on the third floor that appears to belong to Hifumi. But the third floor had not been accessible until that morning so how did the camera get there?

29. Which character does not show up to breakfast one morning leading to concerns that he has been murdered?

From Quiz "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc" Part 2

Answer: Byakuya

The students found Byakuya reading in the library by himself. As explained, Byakuya did not feel the need to go to breakfast with everyone else and socialize because, as much as he hated the killing game, it was the situation he was in and he intended to win. Gathering for breakfast was a rule created by the students and not a school rule, so he felt no need to follow it. Byakuya also saw the other students as competition and not friends.

30. After Monokuma announces the killing game, which student attacks him?

From Quiz "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc" Part 1

Answer: Mondo

Mondo, furious about being trapped in the school and forced to kill to escape, grabs Monokuma (a bear who serves as headmaster) and nearly attacks him. However, Kyoko begs Mondo to throw the bear across the gym. Mondo does so and Monokuma explodes and a new one appears.
