Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the original name of Six Flags Great Adventure?

Answer: Enchanted Forest

The park was changed from Enchanted Forest to Great Adventure very quickly after the park opened. It was then changed to Six Flags Great Adventure when it was bought by Six Flags.
2. What is on the spot that the Sarajevo Bobsled used to be in?

Answer: Great American Scream Machine

Sarajevo Bobsled opened in 1984, and then dismantled four years later to make room for the Great American Scream Machine. Sarajevo Bobsled can be found at the Great Escape.
3. When did the park first open?

Answer: 1974

The park opened in 1974 with only one roller coaster, Runaway Mine Train. Over the years there have been eleven roller coasters that were removed from the park, but Runaway Mine Train has has made it over the years and is still remains open.
4. The rollercoaster, Viper, was torn down, what rollercoaster was originally in Viper's place?

Answer: Ultra Twister

All four answers were torn down, but Ultra Twister was torn down to make room for Viper which was NOT a big hit. This was back in the day when Six Flags used their ride rotation program. Instead of buying new rollercoasters for their parks, they would just dismantle a few and rotate the rides to differant parks so they would look new to the guests. Ultra Twister is now at Six Flags Astroworld.
5. What was the only stand-up coaster ever to be in the park?

Answer: Shockwave

All four coasters are special for their trains. Shockwave has stand-up seats, Medusa has floorless seats, Ultra Twister uses special two row trains for its heartline inversions, and Sarajevo Bobsled uses bobsled trains that aren't connected to the track.
6. Which ride was NOT built by Intamin?

Answer: Batman and Robin: The Chiller

The Chiller was made by Premier, the rest were by Intamin.
7. Six Flags Great Adventure is the only amusement park in the world to have four rollercoasters built by B&M.

Answer: False

Six Flags Great America near Chicago also has four "Beemers." Like Great Adventure, Great America also has clones of Batman: The Ride and Superman: Ultimate Flight, a hypercoaster similar to Nitro called Raging Bull, and instead of a floorless like Medusa, they have a stand-up called Iron Wolf. I've been on all eight coasters, and Great Adventure's are better.
8. Which of these roller coasters was the last to be built over the parking lot?

Answer: Kingda Ka

Kingda Ka and Superman were both built over the parking lot but Kingda Ka was built later.
9. What section of the amusement park is where Bugs Bunny Land used to be?

Answer: The Golden Kingdom

The Golden Kingdom is a beautifully themed section for the 2005 season which is home to Kingda Ka.
10. And finally, what man created Six Flags Great Adventure?

Answer: Warner LeRoy

Warner LeRoy also created high-class restaurants such as Tavern on the Green and Maxwell's Plum. His father was Mervyn LeRoy, the co-director of The Wizard Of Oz and his mother was Doris Warner, the daughter of Warner Brothers Studios executive Harry Warner, you can say he had some money in the family.
