The meeting in the Hog's Head happened during the first Hogsmeade weekend of Harry's 5th year, which was the first weekend of October. Also on Halloween, in Harry's first year Professor Quirrel let the troll into the school to distract the staff while he made an attempt to reach the Sorcerer's Stone.

Answer: Mafalda Hopkirk -- obliviator

Mafalda Hopkirk works in the Improper Use of Magic Office and sent the reprimand letters to Harry in 'Chamber of Secrets' and 'Order of the Phoenix' when Harry was accused of breaking the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Magic. Obliviators are responsible for altering the memories of muggles who have been exposed to magic as seen at the campground at the Quidditch World Cup. Celestina Warbeck is Mrs. Weasley's favorite singer, referenced throughout the books. Gwenog Jones is the captain and beater of the Holyhead Harpies and a former member of the Slug Club. Broderick Bode is an unspeakable, meaning that he works in the Department of Mysteries.

He was placed under the Imperius Curse to steal the prophecy, ending up in St. Mungo's after his brain was addled by the prophecy, where he was murdered in his bed by a potted Devil's Snare.

Answer: Michael Corner

Ginny started dating Michael Corner, a Ravenclaw, after they met at the Yule Ball, then dumped him after Gryffindor beat Ravenclaw in 'Order of the Phoenix'. She then took up with Dean Thomas in 'Order of the Phoenix', finally dumping him in 'Half-Blood Prince'.

She dated Harry briefly at the end of 'Half-Blood Prince' until he broke up with her to help keep her safer from Voldemort as he prepares to take up the task of seeking out the Horcruxes.

Answer: Sturgis Podmore

Sturgis Podmore was arrested for trespassing at the Ministry of Magic and sentenced to six months in Azkaban. He did not speak up in his own defense to keep the mission of the Order of the Phoenix secret. Podmore was acting under the Imperius Curse when he attempted to break into the Department of Mysteries.

Other Order members who have spent time in Azkaban include Sirius Black and Rubeus Hagrid.

Answer: Blaise Zabini

Zabini was invited to the Slug Club, most likely because his mother is a famously beautiful witch who had married and been mysteriously widowed seven times, inheriting large amounts of gold. Nott was not included because his father was exposed as a Death Eater. Morag MacDougal was mentioned in Book 1. Owen Cauldwell was sorted into Hufflepuff in Harry's fourth year.

Answer: Aunt Elladora

Sirius was blasted off the tapestry after running away from home when he was sixteen. Uncle Alphard left Sirius some gold when he died, earning him a removal from the tapestry. Andromeda Black married Ted Tonks, a muggle, earning a blasting, such that Nymphadora Tonks never made it onto the Tapestry. Aunt Elladora, a proud member of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black, started the tradition of beheading the family house-elves.

Other familiar relatives are Narcissa Black Malfoy, Bellatrix Black Lestrange, Phineas Nigellus Black, and Regulus Black.

Answer: 5 -- underground train

1st year -- In 'Chamber of Secrets', Harry tells Mr. Weasley that he took the London underground to King's Cross. 2nd year -- Harry travelled with the Weasleys in the Ford Anglia from the Burrow. 3rd year -- Harry, Hermione and the Weasleys took Ministry of Magic cars from the Leaky Cauldron. 4th year -- Harry, Hermione and the Weasleys hired muggle taxis from the Burrow. 5th year -- Harry, Hermione, the Weasleys and Order of the Phoenix guards walked from Grimmauld Place. 6th year -- Harry, Hermione and the Weasleys once again rode in Ministry of Magic cars, but this time from the Burrow.

Answer: Arithmancy

Professor Vector teaches Arithmancy, which is a magical form of mathematics. Astronomy is taught by Professor Sinistra. Muggle Studies was taught by Charity Burbage, as we discovered in book 7.

Answer: Montague

Montague attempted to exercise his new power to take away house points as a member of Umbridge's Inquisitorial Squad by taking away points from Fred and George. However, before he had the chance, Fred and George shoved him into the vanishing cabinet. He turned up very confused in a toilet on the fourth floor.

He did not recover right away, and his parents were seen arriving at the castle to visit him. In Half-Blood Prince we learn from Draco that while Montague was in the cabinet he could sometimes hear what was going on in Borgin and Burkes, leading to Draco's plan to sneak Death Eaters into Hogwarts. Montague was captain of the Slytherin quidditch team and played chaser during Harry's 5th year at Hogwarts.

However, there was a different captain during Harry's 6th year suggesting that Montague had either graduated from Hogwarts the previous year (or he never recovered enough to rejoin the quidditch team after his stint in the vanishing cabinet).

Answer: Ton-Tongue Toffees

Ton-Tongue Toffees were one of Fred and George's earliest joke sweets. They tricked Dudley Dursley into eating one when at Privet Drive to pick up Harry before the Quidditch World Cup. Mr. Weasley reported that Dudley's tongue had grown to 4 feet long before he was able to shrink it back to size. Harry noticed some of the Nosebleed Nougats in the shop that the twins had been developing for the Skiving Snackboxes while still at Hogwarts. Smart-Answer Quills and Edible Dark Marks, along with muggle magic tricks, Patented Daydream Charms and a range of love potions can also be found in the shop.

Ginny Weasley earned the seeker spot after Harry was banned from Quidditch by Umbridge. When Harry returned to the team as seeker in his sixth year, Ginny switched to Chaser, but also played seeker in the game versus Ravenclaw while Harry sat detention with Snape (sorry, Professor Snape). Cho played Seeker on the Ravenclaw quidditch team. Terrence Higgs was the Slytherin seeker during Harry's first year. Zacharias Smith was not a seeker, he instead was a chaser on the Hufflepuff team.

Other notable Hogwarts seekers include James Potter, Charlie Weasley, Cedric Diggory and Draco Malfoy.

Harry hears the Sorting Hat's song in Books 1, 4 and 5. Harry and Ron miss the sorting in 'Chamber of Secrets' because they were being reprimanded for arriving in the flying Ford Anglia. Harry was late to the feast in 'Prisoner of Azkaban' while recovering from the effects of the dementors. Snape kept Harry from the feast after arriving at the castle late in 'Half-Blood Prince', having been delayed by Draco's Petrificus Totalus (Full Body-Bind Curse).

Answer: veritaserum

Veritaserum is a truth serum described by Slughorn as a clear, odorless liquid. Amortentia can be identified by a mother-of-pearl sheen and spiralling steam with other characteristics strongly influenced by an individual's own preferences. The Shrinking Solution is supposed to be a bright acid green color as seen in 'Prisoner of Azkaban'. Harry drinks the purple Sleeping Potion after having arrived in the Hospital Wing after he returns from facing Voldemort.

Dumbledore was the most prominent death. Lured to the top of the Astronomy Tower, Dumbledore was killed (under questionable circumstances) by Snape when Draco failed to go through with it, fulfilling the Unbreakable Vow. A Death Eater, Gibbon, was also killed by "friendly fire" during the fighting below in the corridors. Bill Weasley, Neville and Professor Flitwick were also injured during the battle.

Answer: to clear the airway of a person who is choking

Professor Slughorn uses the incantation, anapneo, to stop Marcus Belby from choking on a mouthful of pheasant while at the introductory meeting of the Slug Club on the Hogwarts Express. Flitwick caused bubbles to flow out of his wand to decorate a Christmas tree in the Great Hall in the 'Sorcerer's Stone'. Ollivander used the incantation, orchideous, to conjure flowers from Fleur Delacour's wand during the Weighing of the Wands for the Triwizard Tournament. Langlock is an incantation developed by the Half-Blood Prince to cause a person's tongue to stick to the roof of their mouth, used by Harry several times.
