Corsica is a large Mediterranean island which belongs to France. Cephalonia and Corfu are both located in the Ionian Sea, whilst Crete, the largest island in Greece, is located in the Aegean Sea.

Answer: Chemnitz

Chemnitz is located in the state of Saxony. After World War Two, it became part of the Soviet-backed East Germany, and was renamed Karl-Marx-Stadt in honour of the author of the "Communist Manifesto". Founded in 1946, it awards a number of prizes, the most prestigious being the Palme d'Or for Best Film.
10. Which Greek city shares its name with an isthmus, a gulf and a canal?

Answer: Corinth

Corinth was originally founded around 3000 BC on the Peloponnese peninsula, and was an ally of Sparta during the Persian Wars. The modern city was built in the 19th century after the remains of the old one were destroyed by an earthquake. The Corinth Canal, which cuts through the isthmus of the same name, was completed in 1893.
