Answer: G. Krueger Brewing Company

The G. Krueger Brewing Company of Newark, NJ, started selling beer in cans way back in 1935. Back then, very little beer was sold in bottles or cans, most all beer was sold in kegs.
11. The Black & Tan" is a great beer drink made with a stout beer (such as Guinness) settled on top of another beverage providing the drinker with a drink that is visually appealling. What would be an appropriate mixer to use in a Black & Tan?

Answer: Harp Lager

A traditional Black & Tan is a drink using a stout beer layered on top of a lighter beer such as a lager. Guinness's web site says they prefer the all-Irish mixture of Guinness and Harp Lager, but many pubs use Bass Ale or Smithwick's. I actually like the Guinness and Strongbow Cider mixture, sometimes called a poor man's Black Velvet.

The traditional Black Velvet is used with fine Champagne.
12. Speaking of the "Black & Tan", most people are amazed as to why the dark beer floats on top of the lighter beer. What scientific principle is the main reason this happens?

Answer: Specific Gravity

Most people would assume that a darker beer is also heavier and thus should not float on a lighter one, but in reality, the color depends on the degree of roasting of the malt, not on the gravity. Viscosity also plays a role in the process - without sufficient viscosity, the beers would quickly mix - but the main reason is simply the relative weight.
13. Which of these beers is from France?

Answer: Kronenbourg 1664

Kronenbourg is possibly France's most popular beer. Badger is English, Chimay is Belgian and Curim is from Ireland.
14. The top five nations that brew beer are USA, China, Germany, Japan and what other country?

Answer: Brazil

Believe it or not, Brazil is a major brewer of beer. Cervejarius Kaiser is a very large brewery in Brazil.
15. What ancient people is credited with first having brewed beer?

Answer: Babylonian

The Babylonian people were credited with brewing beer over 4,000 years ago. Almost every civilized society in the world have brewed some sort of beer.
