Ptolemy was an Egyptian born astrologer and astronomer who lived under the Roman Empire from AD 90 to AD 168. He wrote a four part book called "Tetrabiblos" which is believed to have been the first documentation and survey of Greek astrology. It has remained for years the basis which has influenced modern astrology as we know it today.
