Answer: "The Marriage Bed"

"The Marriage Bed" was the one where Richard and Harriet had their encounter. Richard's "lessons" for Harriet included some very challenging ethnic food and confining her with only the company of an elderly women who didn't speak English. Not very lover-ly behaviour!

2. Penry and Leonora had an encounter on an island when Leonora washed up on Penry's doorstep. She had lost her memory - or so she claimed. Pen wasn't so sure. In which book did this happen?

"Out of the Storm" was the book. Penry had grown up quite a bit since being duped by a girl claiming to be called Harriet, but he'd had time for more romantic disasters so he wasn't looking for love with Leonora. He found it though.

Poor Kit thought she was an imperfect chaperon, especially when Charity, one of her sisters, fell in love with a young man from Portugal. Kit herself was recovering from a medical condition that made her dizzy, so Reid thought she was a hypochondriac. They sorted things out in the end.

"Ever Since Eden" was the book with the classic case of mistaken identity. Even when Nicholas found out what had happened, he wasn't appeased. He was annoyed with Clem for keeping him in the dark about her twin.

Luc had a good reason for not returning to Emily, but it took a while for her to forgive him. He wasn't too pleased to find out she'd been married and widowed in the interim, either. He took Emily back to Brazil, but at first she felt she was in a gilded cage.

Poor Sarah! She was the middle sister of three, and had taken the blame for a car accident her elder sister actually caused. Now she's disappointed her family again. But she and Rupert sort things out eventually, leaving Rhodri a disappointed man.

This is another funny book, because Harriet's green face is caused by an out of date face mask. Her elder sister has a romance too... with a handsome actor.

"Touch me in the Morning" is the one, and the delightful humour and practical heroine make this one of my favourites. What with James pursuing Theo and Theo chasing fame and Theo's aunt running after Theo's editor, there's a lot of fun to be had.

Gabriel does the garden for Imogen and this book is nice and summery. The age thing isn't as outre as it sounds - Gabriel is older than he looks. And no, he's not a vampire. Wrong genre.

Harry and Frances sort things out, of course. The details of harry's library and the snowy atmosphere make this a favourite - even though I have a problem with the central cause of the big quarrel.

Natalie gets pressed into service to play Titania at the last minute in Nick's production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream"... but it takes a fake power outage and a hot turkey to get the pair together.
