Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was James Caan's partner's name in the movie "Alien Nation"?

Answer: Sam Francisco

Some aliens received joke names from immigration officials. James Caan's character (Matthew Sykes) started calling him "George" to avoid embarrassment. "George" commented that in his language, Sykes sounded like two different words: excrement and cranium.

"George" and the other Newcomers were bred for the sole purpose of slavery on their home planet. Despite being persecuted for being different, "George" was happy to be free on Earth.

George's name was originally supposed to be George Jetson, but Hanna-Barbera wouldn't release rights to the name. They kept the name George in the movie as an inside joke.
2. In the rap-umentary "CB4", the members of the group were MC Gusto, Dead Mike and who?

Answer: Stab Master Arson

Deezer D, who plays Malik on "ER", played Stab Master Arson (AKA Otis). Chris Rock played MC Gusto and Allen Payne was Dead Mike. They were ordinary guys who adopted gangster images and became rap stars.
3. In "Office Space", David Herman's character had the same name as what famous singer?

Answer: Michael Bolton

His character HATED Michael Bolton, and it really annoyed him when people asked him if he was any relation. His character actually liked gangster rap. When Samir suggested he go by Mike instead of Michael, he responded "No way! Why should I change? He's the one who sucks."

I really hated putting Tony Bennett in with the other three, but I wanted to try and catch you off guard!
4. Ben Stiller's character went by the name Greg in "Meet the Parents", but what was his actual name?

Answer: Gaylord Focker

"Greg" was extremely nervous about going to meet his fiance's parents, to ask her father for her hand in marriage. He tried very hard to make a good first impression. Robert DeNiro's character (Jack Byrnes) was a retired CIA agent who trusted no one. Jack loved calling "Greg" by his last name.

It didn't help when they found out he was studying to be a nurse. The 2000 movie was so popular, Universal realeased "Meet the Fockers" in 2003.
5. Fred Ward played a cop who was presumed dead and trained to become part of a secret government agency in "Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins". Of course, Remo Williams wasn't his real name. How did the government agents determine his new name?

Answer: He was named after a bedpan.

After Officer Sam Makin was presumed dead, the government agent (played by J. A. Preston) came up with his new name by looking at the bottom of a nearby bedpan. It read "The Williams Company, Remo Arkansas". He then began training with Chiun, a master of Shinanju, who taught him how to assassinate people and make it look like natural causes.
6. What movie featured Lucky Day, Dusty Bottoms and Ned Nederlander?

Answer: Three Amigos!

They were the three amigos - Steve Martin, Chevy Chase and Martin Short, respectively. They were three, out-of-work actors who received a letter from the people of the small Mexican town of Santa Poco looking for help in battling El Guapo. They go, thinking it is a performing gig, and not an actual batlle.
7. Dana Carvey played a guy with the ability to change into any character, in the film "Master of Disguise". What was his name?

Answer: Pistachio Disguisey

OK, not the BEST movie ever made, but the name really cracks me up. He was unaware of his abilities, but after his father was kidnapped, he was forced to realize his destiny. He had difficulty with his disguises at first, but soon learned to master them.

Garth Algar was his character in "Wayne's World".
Alvin Fripo was his character in "Trapped in Paradise".
George Kellogg was his character in "The Road to Wellville"

Dana also had a small part in "This is Spinal Tap" as the mime waiter.
8. Brandon T. Jackson played a rapper in the 2008 film "Tropic Thunder". What was his name?

Answer: Alpa Chino

Before the movie started, they showed phony ads for things the characters were sponsoring. Alpa Chino was hawking an energy drink called "Booty Sweat". Alpa Chino was a rap artist turned actor who, despite his songs about how much he loved women, had a secret crush on Lance Bass.
9. According to the narrator in "A Christmas Story", this character had yellow eyes. "So help me, God! Yellow eyes!" What character was he referring to?

Answer: Scut Farkus

Scut Farkus (played by Zack Ward) and his toadie Grover Dill used to beat up Ralphie and his friends Flick and Schwartz on a regular basis. After Ralphie got a C+ on his essay, he and the boys were taunted by Scut and Grover. That was the day Scut learned his lesson.
10. Long Duk Dong was a character in what 80s classic film?

Answer: Sixteen Candles

Molly Ringwald starred in the movie about a girl whose family forgot her birthday. Gedde Watanabe played a foreign exchange student who lived with them. He called himself "The Donger" and is famous for saying "What's happenin', hot stuff?"
