Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the reason Ruth wanted Rose to marry Cal?

Answer: Rose's father left them with a huge debt that needed to be paid.

Ruth wanted Rose to marry Cal because Rose's father had left them with a massive debt that they had no way to pay. The only way she could see them paying off the debt was for Rose to marry Cal.
2. Who told Rose that she would honor Cal the way a wife was required to honor her husband?

Answer: Cal

After Cal found out from Lovejoy that Rose had gone to a party with Jack in third class, Cal informed her that she was going to honor him the way a wife was required to honor her husband despite the fact that she was still his fiancee.
3. Who did Rose say she wanted to get off with when Titanic docked in New York?

Answer: Jack

Rose told Jack this after they had escaped from Lovejoy who was following them on Cal's orders and before Cal framed Jack for stealing the Heart of the Ocean. Rose had fallen in love with Jack and informed him that she wanted to get off in New York with him instead of Cal and her mother who she had boarded the ship with.
4. Who did Cal try to bribe in an effort to get him on a lifeboat only to have it backfire in his face?

Answer: Murdoch

Cal and Lovejoy found Murdoch and Cal tried to pay him into letting him get on a lifeboat before everyone else simply because he was rich. He lied and told Rose that there was room for Jack as well in order for her to get on a lifeboat.
5. Who asked Rose if she thought the drawing was really her?

Answer: Lizzy

Lizzy asked Rose if she really thought her drawing was her when she was younger and Rose responded that it was her. Even though it had been 84 years since the sinking of Titanic, Rose realized that the drawing found was indeed her even though Lizzy was doubtful.
6. Who told Rose that Jack had been framed for "stealing" the Heart of the Ocean when in reality Lovejoy placed it in his pocket?

Answer: She just knew

Rose informed Jack that she had already known he was innocent and that no one had told her they had framed him as a means of getting her away from him. Rose also told him that she knew in her heart he was innocent and that was why she had come to free him.
7. What did Cal tell Jack and Rose after he shot at them as they were running from him?

Answer: "I hope you enjoy your time together."

Cal informed Jack and Rose to enjoy their time together knowing full well that they didn't have that long with each other as the ship was sinking. Cal realized that he had lost Rose to Jack and that was why he gave up on her.
8. What famous New York landmark was Rose looking at after she found the Heart of the Ocean in the pocket of Cal's coat?

Answer: The Statue of Liberty

Rose was looking at the Statue of Liberty and had placed her hand in Cal's coat pocket which was where she found the Heart of the Ocean. She had no idea that the necklace was even there.
9. Who told Rose that Titanic was sinking and told her to find a lifeboat?

Answer: Andrews

After her confrontation with Cal, Rose came across Mr. Andrews and asked him point blank that the ship was sinking. After coming across Mr. Andrews with Jack, he gave Rose his life jacket in order to survive and told her that he was sorry he had not built a stronger ship for her.
10. Who told Rose that they were going to write a strongly worded letter to the White Star Line about Titanic?

Answer: Jack

As Jack and Rose were in the freezing water, he informed her that he was planning on writing a strongly worded letter to the White Star Line about Titanic and the tragedy. Jack told Rose that he was planning to write the letter before he died in the frozen water.
