One of my favorite Monkee songs. It was from the second album entitled "More of the Monkees".
2. Who sang lead on this Monkees song: "Papa Gene's Blues"?

5. Who sang lead on this Monkees song: "Cuddly Toy"?

Answer: Davy

"Cuddly Toy" comes from the fourth LP that was released in November 1967. In an amazing coincidence, Davy appeared on "The Ed Sullivan Show" the same night The Beatles made their debut February 9, 1964. He appeared as part of the Broadway musical "Oliver!".
6. Who sang lead on this Monkees song: "Goin' Down"?

Answer: Micky

This song was the 'B' side of "Daydream Believer" but did not appear on any of their non-compilation albums. I always considered Micky to be the true voice of the group since he did the vocals on a lot of their early hits like "Last Train to Clarksville", "(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone" and "Mary, Mary".
7. Who sang lead on this Monkees song: "I Wanna Be Free"?

Answer: Davy

This song is from the "The Monkees" LP. Bobby Hart and Tommy Boyce wrote some of the Monkees songs and later they joined with Davy and Micky to form a new post-Monkees group.

He was born George Michael Dolenz and he starred in the 1955 TV series "Circus Boy" at the age of ten. "Zor and Zam" is from album number five, "The Birds, The Bees and The Monkees".
9. Who sang lead on this Monkees song: "Peter Percival Patterson's Pet Pig"?

Answer: Peter

The pig's name was Porky and he absolutely loved pie especially if the name of the pie started with 'P'. This song was from the fourth album, "Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn and Jones Ltd" released in November 1967. An interesting tidbit about Peter is that he formed his own band called Shoe Suede Blues. What a great name for a band!
10. Who sang lead on this Monkees song: "What am I Doing Hangin' 'Round?"?

Answer: Mike

This song is also from their fourth LP. Mike and Davy shared the same birthday, December 30. Mike was born in 1942, Davy in 1945. Nesmith was also the oldest member of the group.
