Waylon Jennings was also on the album which hit number twenty one on the Billboard charts, the highest for a Chipmunks album in ten years. The album is certified Platinum and that is a first for the Chipmunks.

In 1962, Acuff was the first living artist inducted into The Country Music Hall of Fame and he also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contributions to the recording industry.

That same year "He Stopped Loving Her Today" was named All Time Greatest Country Song. Waylon Jennings has been quoted as saying, "If we could all sing like we wanted to, we'd all sound like George Jones."
