Before becoming interested in aviation, Curtis built motorcycles. In 1907 he was the "Fastest Man in the World" when he travelled at the speed of 136.36 mph on a V8 motorcycle.
2. This person moved to Elmira NY when he was 12. In 1961 he became the first African American to win the Heisman Trophy, while playing for Syracuse, and was the No 1 NFL draft pick.

Answer: Ernie Davis

Tragically Davis never played in the NFL. He was struck down by leukemia and died in 1963.
