5. From which team did Preston sign Chris Lucketti in 2001?

Answer: Huddersfield Town

Lucketti began his career with Rochdale in 1989, but after just one appearance, moved to Stockport a year later. A further unproductive season saw him sign for Halifax Town where he played 78 League games in two seasons. Bury were his next port of call, where he amassed 235 League games until 1999, when he signed for Huddersfield. Preston snapped up the defender in August, 2001.
6. How many League goals did Tom Finney score for the club?

Preston won the first leg at Deepdale 2-0 with goals from Dave Nugent and Richard Cresswell, with the second leg at Pride Park played out to a goalless draw. Unfortunately, West Ham United were the 1-0 victors in the play-off final to keep Preston in the Championship for a further season.
9. Which future Everton player and manager played for Preston in the 1964 FA Cup final?

Answer: Howard Kendall

Kendall was just 17 when he played on the losing side of the FA Cup final in 1964, with West Ham United winning 3-2. After retiring from playing, he went on to manage Blackburn Rovers, Manchester City, Notts County, Sheffield United and Everton (three times).
10. In which season was the infamous plastic pitch at Deepdale used for the last time?

Answer: 1993-94

The plastic pitch proved to be quite unpopular with fans across the country, and not just the North End supporters, and Preston went back to grass after the play-off against Torquay United, which Preston won 4-1.
