1. Which intern was not assigned to Dr. Bailey in the first episode?

Answer: Alex

Although Alex appeared in the first episode ("Hard Days Night") he was not assigned to Dr. Bailey. In the first episode he misdiagnosed a patient, and then mistakenly called Meredith a nurse. So when he was reassigned to Bailey in the second episode, the rest of the interns were not too happy.

2. Which intern tried to scrub in on a rare Whipple surgery in "No Man's Land"?

Answer: Cristina

Cristina tried to steal the Whipple patient (Nurse Liz Fallon, Ellis Grey's old scrub nurse) by arriving to rounds early. However the surgery never happened as Nurse Fallon really just returned to Seattle Grace to die.

3. When Dr. Webber was sidelined due to brain surgery, who did he select to be his sponge in "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head," the second season premiere?

Unfortunately for The Chief, George is not a very good sponge and there is too much going on in the hospital for him to report on.

In "Tell Me Sweet Little Lies" Cristina, George and Alex compete in a hot dog eating contest while Izzie keeps time. Cristina beats her male competitors, gloats and then runs away to throw up.

In this two part episode Meredith discovers that Derek is always awake before her because he leaves her bed, sleeps on the couch and sets an alarm clock so that he returns to bed before she wakes up. Apparently her snoring is that bad. Additionally, when they sleep at the trailer he often goes out and sleeps in a hammock to avoid her.
