Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the connection between these four licensed properties?

Answer: They have all had "Lego" games based on them

Although there were "Lego Creator" games based on the "Harry Potter" series released between 2001 and 2002, the first true "Lego" adaptation of a licensed property was "Lego Star Wars: The Video Game" in 2005. "Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures" hit shelves in 2008, as did "Lego Batman: The Videogame". The "Lego Harry Potter" games were released in two parts between 2010 and 2011, each encompassing four of the eight films in the franchise.

In addition, other "Lego" games based on licensed properties include "Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game", "Lego The Lord of the Rings" and "Lego The Hobbit".
2. Which video game connects these four names?

Answer: Heavy Rain

These four names are the forenames (ha) of the central characters in "Heavy Rain".

"Heavy Rain" focuses primarily on Ethan Mars as he struggles to cope with the death of his son, Jason, and subsequent disappearance of his other son, Shaun. A series of gruesome murders by someone known only as the Origami Killer connects the four central characters. As well as Ethan, a distraught divorcee, the game features Scott Shelby, a private investigator looking into the Origami Killer case, Norman Jayden, an FBI detective with a substance addiction, and Madison Paige, a journalist who befriends Ethan during her own investigations.
3. What is the connection between these four words?

Answer: They are classes in "Borderlands"

The cooperative looter shooter "Borderlands" allows players to choose between four characters, each with their own special set of abilities. Lilith, the Siren, can Phasewalk, temporarily turning her into an ethereal, fast-moving, invisible entity. Roland, the Soldier, can produce a Scorpio Turret, which can attack enemies and provide a temporary shield. Mordecai, the Hunter, utilises his faithful pet, Bloodwing, to attack enemies. Brick, the Berserker, uses his meaty fists to his advantage and goes on a bashing spree. All four of these characters returned in "Borderlands 2" as NPCs and were directly involved in the game's storyline.
4. Which video game person connects these four names?

Answer: Lara Croft

These four women have all provided the voice for Lara Croft in various "Tomb Raider" games.

Shelley Blond was the first voice behind Lara Croft in 1996's "Tomb Raider", before Judith Gibbins took over for "Tomb Raider II" and "Tomb Raider III". Jonell Elliott was brought in for "The Last Revelation", "Chronicles" and "Angel of Darkness". Come 2006, Keeley Hawes lent her voice to Lara in "Legend", "Anniversary" and "Underworld" as well as the spin-off "Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light". With the series' reboot in 2013, Camilla Luddington took on voice acting duties for a younger, more vulnerable Lara Croft in "Tomb Raider", set in the days before she was the tough, kick-bottom, gun-wielding archaeologist she's best known for being.
5. What comes fourth in this sequence?

Answer: Fourth: M of P

These are expansions to the highly-popular fantasy MMORPG "World of Warcraft" in order of release. They are "The Burning Crusade" (released in 2007), "Wrath of the Lich King" (2008), and "Cataclysm" (2010). The fourth, therefore, is "Mists of Pandaria" (2012). If you were to continue the sequence further, you would reach of this question's incorrect answers, W of D, referring to the fifth expansion, "Warlords of Draenor" (2014).

The other incorrect answers relate to games in the "Warcraft" series: R of C ("Reign of Chaos", the subtitle to "Warcraft III") and T of D ("Tides of Darkness", the subtitle to "Warcraft II").
6. What word comes fourth in this sequence?

Answer: Rowan

These are the names of Pokemon professors in the "Pokemon" games from each generation, starting with Generation I. After Professor Oak, Professor Elm, and Professor Birch is Professor Rowan. Professor Juniper provided official professorial duties in Generation V, while Professor Sycamore was featured (along with his glorious hair) in Generation VI.

In most cases, a Pokemon Professor's primary job is to provide you, the new Trainer, with your very first starter Pokemon and offer advice and assistance when filling up your Pokedex as you encounter more and more Pokemon.
7. What word comes fourth in this sequence?

Answer: Destruction

These are the last words in the titles of main series PS3 "Ratchet & Clank" games in reverse order of release. They are "Nexus"/"Into the Nexus", "A Crack in Time", and "Quest for Booty". The fourth in the sequence would be 'Destruction', representing "Tools of Destruction".

While the original PS2 trilogy didn't have an overarching storyline or thread running through them to connect them, the PS3 games (with the exception of the spin-offs "All 4 One" and "QForce"/"Full Frontal Assault") mainly focused on Ratchet being the last of his species in this dimension and the search for other Lombaxes.
8. What comes fourth in this sequence?

Answer: Left: pink

These are the colours of the PlayStation symbols on a controller. At the top is a green triangle, on the right is a red circle, on the bottom is a blue cross, and on the left is a pink square.

According to the designer of the original controller, these symbols aren't arbitrary; they each represent something. The triangle is supposed to represent "a point of view", the circle "yes", the cross "no" and the square a piece of paper (or something to be read, like a menu).
9. These three video games have each had their vowels removed and the consonants squashed up. If you can work out what each one is, you can answer this: which series connects these three games? (Spaces in the clues are not necessarily indicative of multiple words, nor do they necessarily indicate where a word ends or begins.)

Answer: Guild Wars

These are the names of the standalone campaigns in the original "Guild Wars" series: "Prophecies", "Factions", and "Nightfall".

"Prophecies" was not given that title until the release of "Factions", in order to distinguish it as a separate game. Each of these games in the MMORPG series, though interconnected, aren't expansions of the original "Guild Wars"; each can be purchased and played individually as standalone games. After "Prophecies" (2005), "Factions" and "Nightfall" (both 2006), the only true expansion to the series came in 2007 with "Eye of the North", which required at least one of the other campaigns to play and laid the foundations for the story of "Guild Wars 2" (2012).
10. These four types of creature have each had their vowels removed and the consonants squashed up. If you can work out what each one is, you can answer this: which series connects these four races? (Spaces in the clues are not necessarily indicative of multiple words, nor do they necessarily indicate where a word ends or begins.)

Answer: Mass Effect

All these alien races (asari, turian, salarian, and krogan) feature in the games of the "Mass Effect" series. This is by no means an exhaustive list; many more races also feature in the various games with their own alliances and affiliations.

Each of these races has been represented by a significant character in the series, often able to be recruited as squad members and taken with you on missions. Notable characters of these four races include the asari scientist Liara T'Soni, the turian officer Garrus Vakarian, the salarian scientist Mordin Solus and the krogan bounty hunter Urdnot Wrex.
