Okay, change of quiz writing plans. My Humanities quiz is getting me frazzled and my History quiz is :P (going nowhere). However, there is a third path to earn April's painting; namely, write a quiz with exactly ten questions. Well, as pure, dumb luck would have it, I created a ten-question template in April just as a whim, almost a throw-away. And that template's going to save my bacon. Funny how things work out.

To my understanding, Cat, the way you earn paintings is if you submit qualifying quizzes during that month. April is over, so......if you haven't submitted that template during that month, you won't get the painting for it.

Val, if the template was opened in that month, in this case April, and the quiz is submitted by the end of the following month, an author is eligible for the painting as long as they meet the requirements.

So I if I submit a template created in April before the end of May, I can upgrade my painting with a frame?

If it meets the requirements, I don't see why not. But check with a lord of Quizzyland, er, an editor.

Looks like there may eventually have to be a second rivers quiz, I'm getting so much info and going off onto tangents.

Dad got the date for his surgery: June 26. We're making progress.

GRR! You'd think it would be dead easy to get 0 for 15 in the GC's Impossible game. Well, guess who got 1/15 just now? And, the truly aggravating thing is, I purposely didn't choose answers I knew to be correct and (this is the real kicker) I deliberately chose what I thought was an incorrect answer in Q. 1 and that turned out to be the one and only correct answer!

Well, I guess that's why it's a challenge. A Challenge about Nothing, my foot. It's a challenge about something all right, a challenge about major agro! /sigh/ They wouldn't be challenges is they were easy.

Great news about your dad's surgery. He needs to stay away from people, and not get another cold!

Impossible is just impossible, no matter how you're playing it. I play the Global in Hardcore mode, so must get at least 10/15 in 130 seconds for any score to count. I can't tell you how many times I get 9/10. If only I guessed differently on this question, or that question. Whoever named it 'Impossible' knew what they were talking about. Just keep at it, and one day, you'll get them all wrong /smile/

A goal indeed, get them all wrong! LOL

Oh my goodness, Postie, I recall vividly my struggles in the GC. Can't imagine playing in Hard Core. You are either a true FT hero or a true glutton for punishment.

Definitely the latter. Twice a day, every day, for about 4 1/2 months... 2 weeks rest, and then do it again. Yup, punishing. But I love it!

Strangely enough, I miss it. But my connection isn't reliable enough to play timed games on a regular basis anymore. No idea what the problem is, and nobody else in the house seems to find slow connection times bothersome. *shrug* Got my normal Immortal badge, and I'll have to be content with that. But I do sometimes miss the good old days of shaving a second off here, agonizing over which double star category to play there. Ah, those were the days...

Sis had a great idea. Dad's ninetieth birthday is coming up at the end of July. Since he never believes us that he has a fan base amongst our friends, she suggested we ask our Internet friends to send him birthday cards. Sis has a lot more online friends than I do. Still, it's quality not quantity, right?

I'll remind everybody nearer the time, but anyone who is interested in sending my dad a birthday card should let me know, so I can message them the mailing address.

It rained, at times quite heavily, all day and night Saturday. But yesterday and today have been quite nice; not too hot, cool at night. Hope it lasts and we've seen the last of Old Man Winter. But this being New England, there's really no telling.

Ooooo. Very upbeat. Love them.

Sad, Roy Orbison had already died, and wasn't a part of this upbeat song and video.

Well, I'm in a good mood today. My new quiz went up

link https://www.funtrivia.com/quiz/geography/river-basics-412389.html

and it earned me April's painting and T1 of the Geography rainbow.

It's sunny and warm here, but not too hot. All's right in my world.

Oh, how do I get myself into these things? Yep, you guessed it, yours truly just signed up for yet another Lounge challenge...not an hour after vowing not to do any such thing. Talk about a girl who cain't say no! /sigh/ But it fit in so perfectly with my current interest in rivers. Wait, current? I didn't say that! /sigh/

Moving right along: My new summer dresses arrived today from The Vermont Country Store. Since I'm literally on my feet again, it seemed like a good idea to have a couple casual dresses:

link https://www.vermontcountrystore.com/mmac-rock-fish-mid-length-dress/product/79660

Got the second dress in periwinkle and in pink. As you can see, they're very simple; pull on, no fasteners. You know what though? Just knowing they're hanging in the closet makes me feel, I donno, a little more whole...if that makes sense...more like a real, regular person, not someone who has to adapt and resign herself to crawling around on her hands and knees all the time.
