Jessalee never turned up this morning, nor did she have the courtesy to call. Fortunately, she is all right and will, so she says, be here for her shift tonight. When Dad called her in the afternoon, she offered no explanation and no apology. It's a little thing, I know, but it ticked everybody off, and I at least am a worrier. When things like that happen I always think there's been a car accident or something. But apparently all is well. Jessalee just isn't terribly courteous.

Mom had a quiet night and slept all morning today. In the afternoon she was pretty alert and talkative. And she actually made sense most of the time. On the whole, a good day.

Pixie had to go out and play in the snow, of course. At least it wasn't bitterly cold today and the sun was shining. It seems, though, Pixie has turned into a snow kitty.

Sorry Messages did not turn up or let you know what was happening. At least she is still coming.
Pixie sounds a real character. How old is she? They should do a new book/ film The Snowman and the Snowcat featuring Pixie. Pepper doing well and ate her supplement which I put in a Weebox food treat. Ruby also doing well on her new food.

LOL Ruby. Yes, that is funny. So glad the kitties are doing better.

Mom isn't doing all that well. And yet she was very interested in watching the television coverage of the first day of the Senate trial of former Pres. Trump. Sis and I thought it might be too upsetting for her, since it was rumored the House managers (essentially the prosecutors) would play a lot of raw video footage from the day of the attack on the Capitol, and that didn't seem suitable for an invalid. But Mom was very keen and listened with great attention all afternoon. Naturally, though, all that paying attention tuckered her out, and she's pretty tired and subdued by now. Still, we were surprised she was able to stay alert and interested all afternoon.

Since I married in 1996, we have given a home to no less than 9 little cats, all bar one recue animals and some fairly elderly when they came to us.
7/9 have been "Queens"..........with earlier mentioned LEO and short lived (5 months) ginger kittem RUFUS, being the only "Toms" .

Last night, Mom took a turn for the worse, suddenly becoming unable to speak or even make semi articulate sounds like uhuh. No idea if she'll bounce back or if this is the beginning of a terminal decline. Please remember her in your prayers.

She eventually woke up and was able to respond, if in a limited way, with "yes," "no" and "I'm fine." *rolling eyes* Her answer to "How are you feeling?" or "Are you okay?" is always "I'm fine." Always has been, no matter how not fine you know she is. Anyway, she promptly went back to sleep before Sis could get so much as a drop into her. Still, she does seem to be more or less okay.

She had a great day today. Bright and alert, articulate (relatively speaking) and interested. She even ate and drank a more satisfactory amount, as she did yesterday too. Made everyone soooo happy!

Thank you, everybody, for your continued caring and prayers. It's a great comfort.♥

Sis goes for her first Covid vaccine shot Tomorrow. She is eligible as caregiver for elderly relatives. I thought she probably would be. Dad gets his second shot March First. Not sure when Jessalee gets her second shot, but that should also be soon. What a relief to get that taken care of!

Lovely to have an up day with your mom. Good news about the covid vaccines. I had my first one last Wednesday. We don't get the second in the UK until 12 weeks later.

After a scary night, Mom is doing well today, quite chirpy when awake.

That's Vivvie, of blessed memory. She was my sister's cat, but when Sis came home to Springfield from Pittsburgh Vivvie took a shine to me. She was a sweet natured as she was beautiful. Some emotional problems, but she settled down. She was a good companion. Thanks, Postie, for asking about her.
