Bio: I'm a bank employee with special interest in history and languages. My cats frequently inspire me to some quiz comments.
Members of the European Players are welcome to occasionally post something in their native language - it's always fun to discover that for instance Gaelic is not all Greek to you.
Hobbies: Playing chess, playing cards, reading, and of course quizzes - playing and writing.
I'll give you the sport, the number of medals and the time period. You pick the flag of the nation for which the corresponding athlete won these medals. 
The entertainment company Chicken Soup for the Soul (originally a publishing firm) inspired me for these questions about novels and theatre plays with food in the title. 
Various forms of entertainment refer to real or fictional place names. Can you answer some questions on these places, perhaps aided by my silly sketches? 
Here are some national flags I've tried to draw myself. Alas, I would fail any drawing test for four-year-old toddlers - even though I'm 60. So I left out what is too hard for me to draw. Can you find what's missing?
