Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In "Beauty of the Beast" (1991), the protagonist Belle, in between getting abducted by talking utilities and a sentient chimera, has a hobby. Which of the following does Belle seem to enjoy, even to the point of nearly endangering herself doing it?

Answer: Reading

In the movie, Belle has a sequence in which she attempts to navigate a very busy, condensed section full of people and other distractions. She has a number of near-misses where she nearly collides with someone, something, and even one instance in which she is almost drenched with water and unknowingly dodges the entire thing while reading.

As well, in the video game "Disney Heroes: Battle Mode", Belle literally strengthens herself by first reading a book to gain energy.
2. Controversially, Winnie the Pooh content has been largely restricted in one major part of the world and was first censored in 2017. In what part of the world has it, at times, been illegal to access satirical content pertaining to Winnie the Pooh?

Answer: China

In 2013, memes began to surface in culture which depicted Winnie the Pooh as bearing numerous similarities to Chinese President Xi Jinping. These similarities were not being depicted particularly faithfully or gracefully. Winnie the Pooh itself was not entirely censored, but any satirical content comparing Winnie to Xi Jinping would not be permitted in China for a time.

Shanghai Disneyland does exist in China in which there actually has been a Winnie the Pooh-centric attraction. In the following aftermath of the Winnie censorship, this ride remained in place, but its name was changed. The name "Winnie" was to be censored, and the ride would go on to be referred as representing the "Pooh Pooh Bear" instead of "Winnie the Pooh".
3. Who is the protagonist of the "Kingdom Hearts" series?

Answer: Sora

The keyblade-wielding Sora encounters many other faces from Disney, including the likes of Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Cloud Strife and Hercules. As the player, they'll play as Sora through each lengthy adventure in the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise which debuted in 2002.
4. Who is Hercules' love interest and eventual wife?

Answer: Megara

Hercules' affection for Megara is a major aspect of his story. As Megara dies, Hercules would bargain for her resurrection to the point of risking his own mortality, venturing into the River Styx to retrieve Megara's soul. Later, the two would tie the knot and make their relationship formal.

This came after Megara had essentially betrayed Hercules and had spent significant time attempting to seduce him for nefarious gain.
5. Mulan dons a very particularly designed dress. She is unique for a Disney Princess, in that she is of Eastern Asian descent. What is the name of the dress she wears?

Answer: Hanfu

The Hanfu is one of many historical styles of Han Chinese clothing worn from the 2nd millennium BCE to 17th century AD. It was developed during the Han Dynasty but continued to see use well after that era. Funnily enough, the Hanfu seen worn by Mulan is generally considered to be historically inaccurate very slightly, as the narrow sleeves worn by her are in slight contrast to the much wider ones seen on a traditional Hanfu.
6. Who of the following is not one of the Three Good Fairies?

Answer: Fawn

These three being fairies gives them magical properties, including the ability to shapeshift into glimmers of light, the ability benevolently enchant objects and, of course, the ability to fly. All three don differently colored formal dresses with hats to match their outfits. Their primary reason for existence in this context is to oppose Maleficent.

Fawn, on the other hand, entered the Disney franchise over fifty years after the Three Good Fairies. She is loosely related to Tinkerbell, who is a fairy, but she is not one of the Three Good Fairies.
7. Of what nationality are Abigail and Amelia Gabble in the English version of "The Aristocrats"?

Answer: British

The two are twins, speaking in a very distinct British accent and claiming to hail from the UK, at least. Interestingly, this holds up in all languages except the Czechoslovakian version, in which they are from Gabcikovo, a town in Slovakia. This is also the only version in which the tandem do not speak with a highly exaggerated British accent.
8. "Once Upon A Halloween" (2005) is a melting pot full of Disney characters, come together. Which of the following makes an appearance during this film?

Answer: Tick-Tock

The Evil Queen from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" proves the main protagonist in this film, and her goal is to 'conquer Halloween'. A large portion of the film involves her looking into a cauldron which shows her a great litany of villains across the Disney franchise as candidates to assist her in this goal. Tick-Tock the Crocodile, hailing from "Peter Pan" is one such candidate.

Included with Tick-Tock for 'options' are Lucifer, the Queen of Hearts, Maleficent, Ursula, Gaston, Jafar, Scar, Hades and more.
9. In 2012, Disney would acquire LucasFilm. This was a big deal as, in purchasing LucasFilm, which franchise did Disney gain access to?

Answer: Star Wars

In October of 2012, LucasFilm was sold to Disney. This included release rights to future "Star Wars" films. In securing the deal, Disney also announced they would be creating a new trilogy in the "Star Wars" storyline. Disney would go on to produce four separate "Star Wars" titles over the span of the ensuing seven years.
10. Known for producing light-hearted, family friendly content, Disney would be host to an R-Rated movie in 2024, not long after it acquired the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Which of the following is R-Rated in the U.S.?

Answer: Deadpool & Wolverine

Released in 2024, this film follows the journey of a seemingly retired Deadpool who goes by the mundane name Wade Wilson. Wilson is essentially forced into an alternate universe, a timeline in which his home is under mortal peril. Wilson's discovery of the dead remains of Wolverine kicks him into a rage that essentially returns him to being a super hero, until later meeting the real, living Wolverine.
