An Arthur Thanksgiving Trivia Quiz

Answer: Mr. Read

Mr. Read is a professional chef, so he cooks the dinner. He has a rule that he needs to be able to use the entire kitchen all day, so the rest of the family has leftover spaghetti for breakfast. They are not even allowed to have cereal because only Mr. Read is allowed to use the bowls.

Answer: He eats D.W.'s food and Kate's food

The people are having spaghetti and meat balls. Mr. Read also made cheesy bacon brussels sprouts. Pal loves meatballs and bacon and he tries to get some. Kate feeds a meat ball to him, but D.W. tells her parents that Pal stole Kate's meat ball. Mrs. Read tells Arthur to take Pal outside. Later, he comes back in. Arthur lets him lick the sauce off of his plate, which he does. Mr. Read sees Pal licking the plate and thinks that Pal ate Mr. Read's cheesy bacon brussels sprouts. He angrily tells Arthur to take Pal out of the house. Arthur calls Pal a bad dog and tethers him to his dog house in the yard. Nemo comes along to antagonize Pal some more. Pal breaks free of his chain and chases Nemo around. By doing so, Pal leaves the Read property with no one noticing.

When Mr. Read tells this to Mrs. Read, she shows him that she put the brussels sprouts in a sealed container and then put it in a cabinet. Arthur explains that Pal was just licking his spaghetti plate (nice going, Arthur, why didn't you tell your father that before you tethered Pal up and why did you tether Pal up when you knew the truth?). Arthur goes outside to get Pal, but Pal is not there. Much of the rest of the episode is the family trying to find Pal and Pal trying to get home.

Answer: Nemo

This special first aired in 2020 and Kramer died in 2013. Tony Daniels does the voice of Nemo in "An Arthur Thanksgiving." He does a good job of imitating Kramer's voice so Nemo sounds similar to how he always sounded.

Answer: Bud

Despite airing later, "An Arthur Thanksgiving" must take place before "When Duty Calls". "When Duty Calls" is the episode where Bud and Ladonna leave Elwood City and move to Oregon. Bud plays a major role in "An Arthur Thanksgiving", in which he is still living in Elwood City.

Ladonna is also mentioned, but she does not appear. Mr. Ratburn says that she will be spending Thanksgiving with her family (so why isn't Bud doing that?).

Answer: Aunt Minnie

"The Rhythm and Roots of Arthur" must have taken place after "An Arthur Thanksgiving" despite airing before it. Aunt Minnie and D.W. recognize each other in "The Rhythm and Roots of Arthur" but they seem to meet each other for the first time in "An Arthur Thanksgiving". D.W. calls her "Aunt Meanie" just because she refuses to give her a snack on Thanksgiving.

She lived alone in France for most of her life, but in "An Arthur Thanksgiving" she moves to Elwood City and adopts a dog.

Answer: Muffy

The theme for the parade is "Hickory Dickory Dock". Mr. Crosswire agrees to drive the float. Muffy wears a purple dress and is supposed to ride in the front car with him. Instead, she somehow ends up on the goat float. That float starts moving before Muffy can get off, so she stays there for the whole time. Most of the other kids are dressed as mice. Arthur is supposed to be the clock, but he misses the parade because he is searching for Pal, so Brain becomes the clock.

Answer: Dog shelter

Pal hides behind some bushes so he will not be seen by firemen. He moves to get further and further away from them, but then he rolls down a hill. When he stops rolling, he is at an animal shelter. He learns that the dogs there do not eat much on Thanksgiving.

This makes him sad, and he runs away to a friend that has a lot of leftover Thanksgiving food and asks for help. Together, the two dogs give the shelter a proper Thanksgiving meal. Pal then discovers that Arthur and his family were there. One of the dogs tells him which direction they went.

Answer: Petunia

Pal meets Petunia while trying to find his way home. At first, she warns him not to mess with her family, which he agrees not to do. She then becomes friendly and offers Pal the rest of her family's Thanksgiving dinner. Pal has a lot of food. Pal returns to Petunia later in the episode and tells her about the dog shelter.

She agrees to feed the dogs with the rest of her family's food so they can have a happy Thanksgiving.

Answer: Fireman

After Pal feeds the dogs at the shelter, he runs off to find his family. He ends up being captured by a fireman. When Arthur shows a lost dog poster to someone, the man sees the dog in the fire truck. This gets Arthur to follow the truck. Sharina gives her bike to Arthur to help him chase the truck.

The truck stops at the soccer field to get down gobbler. Arthur gets there and Pal is reunited with his family.

Answer: Outside

Everybody that helped rescue Pal ends up being invited to Thanksgiving dinner with the Reads in addition to the relatives. The guests include Grandma Thora, Aunt Minnie, Mr. Ratburn, Patrick, Muffy, Francine, Buster, Sue Ellen, Binky, Brain, Mr. Crosswire, Mrs. Prendergast, and Sharina.

There's not enough room in any room in the house to host all these guests, so the Reads put picnic tables in the yard and have Thanksgiving there.
