The Go-Go's "Beneath the Blue Sky" is their only song with a color in the title...unless you count "cream" in their song "Screaming" from 1978.
The Go-Go's also wrote "blue" eight times in the lyrics of four songs: "Living at the Canterbury," "Vision of Nowness," "Automatic Rainy Day" (2×) and "Beneath the Blue Sky" (4×). The Go-Go's wrote "navy" one time in "The Whole World Lost Its Head" but it refers to the armed service.
Song 2) "Daisy Chain"
Jane Wiedlin, Kathy Valentine and Jill Sobule co-wrote the song "Daisy Chain" on The Go-Go's album "God Bless The Go-Go's" in 2001.
According to the ranking of "20 Great Songs by The Go-Go's" on Medium, "By 2001, The Go-Go's had the time and perspective to reflect on their story as a band, and as friends. 'Daisy Chain' is a clear statement about all of that from their 1978 beginnings as punk rock kids to the burnout of stardom at their height. Kathy Valentine and Jane Wiedlin wrote this with singer-songwriter Jill Sobule, this time including a 1967-style mellotron that makes one wonder what a full album of flower-power Go-Go's tunes might sound like" (Jones, 2021).
Jill Sobule wrote four chart hits. Jill's first hit "Too Cool to Fall in Love" on her debut album "Things Here Are Different" ranked on the Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary for 12 weeks from 8 Sep to 1 Dec 1990 peaking at number 17.
Jill had two hits on her self-titled album with "I Kissed a Girl" ranking on four music charts in three countries for 21 weeks from 20 May to 15 Oct 1995 peaking at number 15 on the Canadian RPM Alternative 30, and "Supermodel" not only ranking on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart for four weeks from 14 Jan to 11 Feb 1996 peaking at number 53 but was also included on the soundtrack of the movie "Clueless" in 1995.
Jill's "Bitter" on "Happy Town" also ranked on the ARIA Singles Chart for four weeks from 1 to 29 Jun 1997 peaking at number 74.
According to Jane's post on Instagram, "I am devastated to post that the great Jill Sobule perished in a fire this morning. Jill was not only a genius songwriter but an incredible human being. KV and I co-wrote the Go-Go's song 'Daisy Chain' with Jill, who was primarily known for her 1995 hit 'I Kissed A Girl'...not to be confused with a later tune that took that title. I feel lucky that she was in my life and heartbroken that she has left us far too soon" (Wiedlin, 2025).

Jane Wiedlin wrote the lyrics and Charlotte Caffey composed the music to the song "This Old Feeling" on The Go-Go's album "Vacation" in 1982.
According to a review of the album "Vacation" by Rolling Stone magazine, "In fact, as the album progresses, dreams themselves take on great significance. For Go-Go's trapped on the road, dreams are a primary means of escape. The loveliest expression of this is 'This Old Feeling,' a reverie written by guitarists Wiedlin and Charlotte Caffey. It's a perfect pop song: an ethereal melody is anchored by Kathy Valentine's bass as Carlisle's voice skims the surface of a pleasant memory just beyond reach. Rarely has the woozy pleasure of a good daydream been rendered more movingly in rock music" (Tucker, 1982).
Bo Bud Greene also recorded "This Old Feeling" on the album "Unsealed: A Tribute to the Go-Go's" by various artists on 8 Jun 1999 as well as Rachel York and Jeremy Kushnier on The Go-Go's soundtrack "Head Over Heels: A New Musical (Original Broadway Cast Recording)" on 12 Oct 2018.
