Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. One of the major changes this event brought forth was an effort from Fun Pimps to prevent players from 'cheesing' a Blood Moon night. Motor vehicles can easily outpace zombies. With the advent of Henpocalypse, is it possible to evade Blood Moon hordes in a Gyrocopter or Motorcycle?

Answer: No

Funny enough, there has been a developer presence on YouTube, Reddit and on the official "7 Days to Die" website forums, where Fun Pimps explains exactly what and why they did to address the 'problem'.

Previously, players could simply hop on any vehicle, even a lowly Bicycle, and could simply 'cheese' Blood Moon hordes by just riding away from them. There is nothing, even Dire Wolves, which can run down the player on any kind of vehicle...

Or at least, there wasn't. With the introduction of Henpocalypse came forth what Fun Pimps labeled "anti-cheese mechanics". It is no longer possible to evade the horde on a vehicle. Attempting to do so will immediately call down the wrath of the developers upon the player.
2. If attempting to use a vehicle to escape a Blood Moon horde, a brand new enemy will spawn. This enemy can only ever spawn specifically if the player boards a vehicle during a Blood Moon night, and cannot appear otherwise at all. What enemy appears?

Answer: Blood Moon Vultures

At first glance, these vultures sound and somewhat look like regular Zombie Vultures. However, they are entirely tied to players using vehicles to 'cheese' Blood Moon hordes. Specifically, Blood Moon Vultures are approximately 350% faster than regular versions. They have been designed to easily catch up to the player regardless of what vehicle they have entered. Because the player cannot wield any weapons while driving, they are entirely defenseless to these Blood Moon Vultures, and will eventually be forced to leave their vehicle.

What's more, the Blood Moon Vultures quite literally defy the rules of the game. Ordinarily, only a certain number of enemies can exist in the world of the game, and the game simply cannot create more enemies. Blood Moon Vultures are entirely independent of this restriction. In fact, if the player is stubborn and simply tries to outmaneuver the initial few Vultures that spawn rather than get out of the vehicle, they will make the problem so, so, soooo much worse.

Blood Moon Vultures are programmed to spawn infinitely, and will continue to spawn forever and ever until the player leaves their vehicle. It can get seriously bad, so bad that the high quantity can quite literally crash the game or destroy the player's frame rate. That said, this overwhelming flock would probably just kill the player and/or destroy their vehicle before long anyway.

This mechanic may seem unnecessarily restrictive. However, there is an option to simply disable Blood Moons entirely. If the player doesn't want to deal with Blood Moon Vultures, they could just do that.

Fun Pimps has publicly commented that they believed these "Anti-Cheese Vultures" as they have labeled them are completely necessary to maintain the balance of the game. Previously, players in spades had been posting clips all over Reddit and YouTube, showing them 'cheesing' Blood Moon hordes in vehicles. Fun Pimps countered with these Vultures to effectively 'patch' this cheesing method.
3. It wouldn't be a 'Hen'pocalypse without chicken! Which of the following is a new food item, courtesy of the Henpocalypse update?

Answer: Chicken Nuggets

Chicken Nuggets provide lots of food and have the side benefit of reducing the player's fall damage taken for a time. To make them, the player must have Grilled Meat, Animal Fat, two Feathers and a Cornmeal.
4. Ash Chicken Stew is a new food item brought to this game, with a highly desired, beneficial side effect. Which of the following is true about Ash Chicken Stew?

Answer: It has a Smell value of 0

This became the first meat-related item in "7 Days to Die" to not have any Smell value. Smell value starts at 0 and goes to 100. For every point the player has, it converts to meters and projects that smell that far out. Zombies within the Smell radius will, of course, be able to then detect the player via scent.

Ash Chicken Stew has a Smell value of 0, while also giving a significant 84 to the hunger meter on consumption. This is perfect for Stealth builds, as they can stay topped off on hunger while not giving away their position errantly.
5. For the first time in "7 Days to Die" it is technically possible to have a pet! Chickens can be raised as livestock and turned into food, or they can be kept as companions. Where can chickens be found?

Answer: Everywhere

Chickens have the exact same potential spawn rate regardless of where the player is, and this never changes at all. They can be hunted and immediately killed for their Raw Meat, or they can be tamed peacefully.

If kept, the player is highly, highly advised to never, ever put their Chicken Coop on the bottom or top floor of their base. This is because, on Blood Moon nights, it will simply be incredibly difficult protecting the chicken coop in either scenario.
6. An overhaul to the Gamerstage system was made during the Henpocalypse. What is the absolute highest Gamerstage possibly achievable through normal means (not cheating/hacking) in this game?

Answer: 1200

Gamerstage is calculated by taking the player's level, adding it to the number of days survived, multiplying by 2, then subtracting two for every death they've taken. A player at the maximum level 300, at the maximum Day 300, who has taken no deaths would have a Gamerstage of 1200.

Gamerstage does "cap" well, well before 1200. It is difficult to nail down where this cap occurs, but players estimate it happens around the low 300s.

As Gamerstage rises, the general difficulty of the world around the player goes up with it. This will cause harder, more threatening enemies to appear.
7. The impact of Gamerstage itself was changed very slightly. Let's say I have a Gamerstage of exactly 139 on the nose. Which enemy of the following is it impossible for me to ever encounter?

Answer: Demolishers

Before Henpocalypse, in theory, any enemy could spawn regardless of Gamerstage. Gamerstage only made certain spawns more and less likely depending on the given spawn. After a swathe of player complaints over how 'difficult' the early game was, Gamerstage was changed to compensate. Now, until reaching certain Gamerstages, it would be impossible to see certain enemies spawn.

In my case, it is impossible for Demolishers to spawn in the game until reaching a Gamerstage of 140. At 139, it is literally impossible for them to appear.

It is worth noting that Gamerstage works under an Area of Effect projected 50 meters around the player's active position, and the highest Gamerstage takes priority. So if a player with a GS of 800 stands next to a player with a GS of 5, the game will spawn enemies based solely on the GS of 800.
8. The Henpocalypse introduced a brand new type of major Point of Interest. Which of the following was introduced?

Answer: Champion's Coliseum

The Champion's Coliseum is a football stadium ravaged by the apocalypse. It is a Tier 6 area which can be the center of either a T5 or T6 quest. In either scenario, it is extremely dangerous and not recommended for anyone lacking an end-game quality build.
9. Where does the new Point of Interest brought by Henpocalypse exist in Navezgane?

Answer: Wasteland

It is fitting that the deadliest POI by far, being introduced to the game, would also be positioned inside the deadliest biome in the entire game.

Players generally do not build bases in the Wasteland. This isn't always because of the difficulty, but rather, the tedium of fending off constant, annoying spawns throughout the night. The Wasteland is known for having "mini Blood Moons" each and every night.

Because of this, traveling to the Champion's Coliseum is generally a multi-day affair. That means it isn't just the zombies, but the planning logistics, that present a challenge here.
10. Henpocalypse revamped how players can influence their loot spawns. Let's say I make a character, I entirely max out its Fortitude completely, but I leave every other stat untouched. What weapon of the following am I statistically likeliest to find as loot?

Answer: M60

The M60 scales off of Fortitude. Not just that, but the simple act of leveling Fortitude makes it likelier to randomly find any weapons or gear which scale off of it. Since the Auto Shotgun, Sniper Rifle and Rocket Launcher do not scale off of Fortitude, a character who has pumped Fortitude is far likelier to find an M60 than any of the other three.

Prior to Henpocalypse, leveling stats had no influence over the loot players found.
