Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Landfill Layer contains one of the deeper Sublayers of the planet. Where does DK begin his adventure here?

Answer: Forgotten Pit

Dropping in from the Sinkhole of the Tempest Layer nearly one hundred Sublayers above, DK and Pauline will crash down into a nearly-empty area called the Forgotten Pit. It'll be quick and easy to collect the Banandium Gems dropped from the previous Sinkhole (and the battle against the Snister Blusterwing) before digging straight down.

This Layer is a densely packed voyage down, down, down.
2. There are only a couple of enemies to appear in Landfill Layer. One is the Peekaboopoid, but what's the other?

Answer: Munchoid

For as large as this Layer is, it doesn't contain a multitude of different enemies, and certainly no new ones, as DK will spend most of his time trying to navigate his way downward through dense dirt. This being said, in both the open caverns that he comes upon and in some pockets of dug-out tunnels that he'll create, he'll either stumble upon Munchoids, previously introduced in the Forest Layer, or small Peekaboopoids, who'll do their best to hinder him at all opportunities.

The latter will appear out of almost nothing while the former will give fair warning before they follow their paths.
3. The main Fractone settlement found in Landfill Layer is known by what name?

Answer: Trashtopia

Heading down from the Forgotten Pit, DK will pass through the Upper Pit and Middle Pit before breaking through to the larger cave complex that is Trashtopia, a 'make-the-best-of-it' settlement inhabited by a handful of Fractones and Eels that will act as a hub area for transport, shops, and services.

Although there isn't a significant number of to-dos in Landfill Layer, about a third of the Layer's Banandium Gems are hidden around this town which serves as the gateway to the bottom of the pit.
4. The only Fossil type that appears in the Landfill Layer is which of these, appearing in an alternative colour scheme from its initial appearance in an earlier Layer?

Answer: Sea Lily

Previously appearing as the base Fossil type in the Freezer Layer, hundreds of Sublayers up from the heap in the 1000s range, the Sea Lily returns in a darker blue-green that separates it as a currency type when shopping with the Landfill Layer's StyleTone.

There are thirty of these Fossils, and all of them can be used to help buy four new Donkey Kong fur colours-- the only options for purchase in this Layer-- in Trashtopia.
5. At the bottom of Landfill Layer, DK has a rematch against which earlier boss?

Answer: Peekabruiser

At the bottom of the pit that is the Landfill Layer, DK and Pauline will come across Grumpy Kong who, using another VoidCo item, will bring back the boss first fought in the Lagoon Layer-- the Peekabruiser. This time, however, the fight will be a bit more difficult, as you'll instead go head-to-head against a heartier Re-Peekabruiser.

As with before, the goal is to get at the boss' golden weak point to bring it down and open up the path down to the next Layer.
6. Besides within Challenge Courses and Battle Challenges, Raceway Layer does not contain enemies.

Answer: True

Down on Sublayer 1100, the Racing Layer is probably one of the safest destinations in the game provided you don't fall over the edge of the land. Touching down here at the Stampedeway Entrance the Prospector Monkeys will reveal that some of them were blown down by the Ingot Isle vortex, left next to the racetrack to resume their lives.

It's not a bad deal since the Rambi Rumble, an ongoing race, is keeping everyone entertained. All DK needs to do, if he wants to join in the fun, is head to the reception desk.
7. There is only one Challenge Course in the Racing Layer, and it requires the use of which Bananza form?

Answer: Zebra Bananza

There are only ten Banandium Gems to collect in the Racing Layer, and you can get all of them on your first visit, maneuvering around the Racing Lobby for the majority of them and flying out to a distant floating island for the last. Three of these are claimed from the Layer's sole Challenge Course, a track that requires the use of the Zebra Bananza since it's the one that can run across fragile ground at a fast enough pace.

In this one, you need to toss Trailfinoids as you navigate a winding path of platforms and roads to your goal. Beating it quick enough gets two Banandium Gems, and floating high up to a hidden platform will present the last.
8. Who, of these, operates the Rambi Rumble in the Racing Layer?

Answer: Diddy

When DK arrives at the reception desk he'll be met by his good friends Diddy and Dixie, and after introductions to Pauline, they'll offer to let DK take them on in the big race, the Rambi Rumble. To win, DK needs to cross the finish line after three laps on Rambi's back, defeating the other monkeys at their own game on their home course.

The catch is that the race is about more than simply running around in a circle; Rambi will power up if he eats enough, allowing him to create paths through the air that speed him along.

The winner, naturally, gets a prize.
9. The Sinkhole in Raceway Layer is found in which unique spot?

Answer: Inside the trophy

If DK can win the Rambi Rumble, he'll be allowed to claim his prize by entering the blast barrel at the top of the winner's podium, and it'll shot him and Pauline to the massive trophy positioned on the other side of the Layer. Here, there's not much to do except destroy the Void Stake blocking the only way out, and jumping in, they'll be able to drop down into the Radiance Layer on Sublayer 1200.
10. If you have yet to complete "Donkey Kong Bananza", the Racing Layer offers a route to DK Island. Who do you need to speak to to visit it?

Answer: Squawks

Part of the "Donkey Kong Bananza" DLC, DK is able to take a trip to his namesake island if you manage to beat the game, and generally this is done by speaking to any one of the five Bananza Elders and taking the Warp Gong to the newly-unlocked region. If you have not beaten the game, however, you can still visit by speaking to Squawks the Parrot on Sublayer 1100 (the Racing Layer) and he'll grant you passage back to the nostalgic world seen in past "Donkey Kong Country" games and, of course, "Donkey Kong 64".
