Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The Moon Kingdom is not on the game's main planet.

Answer: True

True to its name, the Moon Kingdom requires that Mario and Cappy complete the Odyssey and make it capable of withstanding space flight, and when they lift off they'll be taken off the game's planet setting and into outer space. This won't necessarily be new for Mario, who headed into the cosmos not once, but twice for 3D platformers on the Nintendo Wii, but it will be the first time that he heads into space in this game.

Upon arrival, Mario will don a white suit for the upcoming wedding. Naturally, there's a dress code.
2. Which environmental effect does Mario face in this Kingdom?

Answer: Low gravity

Because Mario has arrived in outer space, the phenomenon of weightlessness is one hurdle (or perhaps it's a benefit?) to overcome in a way that hasn't been seen in the other Kingdoms. Because of this, many of the Power Moons that he can find throughout the craters and platforms of Honeylune Ridge are collected by making lengthier or higher jumps with more precision than normal. Long jumps are even longer; normal jumps are slower.

It takes some getting used to.
3. Which of these locations does not exist in Honeylune Ridge?

Answer: Matrimony Meadow

Although the Moon Kingdom appears as a desolate, crater-pocked landscape, it appears to be a major event for weddings and celebrations, perhaps indicated by the fact that most of its key locations are named so quaintly. The Odyssey will touch down shortly before Mario crosses the Ringing-Bells Plateau, the Quiet Wall comes next, leading Mario deep into the gravity-normal magma pits of the moon, and Ever-After Hill will be the last stop to make before heading to the ivory Wedding Hall at the end of the line.
4. Who of these recurring figures appears in the Moon Kingdom?

Answer: Sphynx

Showing up behind the entrance to the Quiet Wall, the Sphynx makes its penultimate appearance in the game in the Moon Kingdom, coming along to provide another series of riddles for Mario to ponder in exchange for a Power Moon. Until Bowser is defeated, however, the Sphynx remains tight-lipped, insisting that you may have more urgent matters to attend to before partaking in some silly trivia games.
5. The Power Moons in the Moon Kingdom are which colour?

Answer: White

Perhaps because they're so close to home, the Power Moons in this late Kingdom are perhaps the most reflective of actual moon colours. Throughout the Moon Kingdom, Mario can collect a total of thirty-eight Power Moons though only fourteen of them are available during the first visit to Honeylune Ridge. Once Bowser is defeated, more can be accessed, and yet more can come to pass if you break open the Moon Rock in the late game.
6. Madame Broode returns in the Moon Kingdom. What does she leave behind when she's defeated?

Answer: Coins

Though it's been a while, at this point, since the first Madame Broode fight, the gimmick behind her is the same as she'll bring in her massive gold Chain Chomp and set about using it to attack Mario like in Cascade Kingdom. This time, the Chain Chomp will wear multiple hats, and Mario will only be able to capture it by knocking them off its head with well-timed hits from Cappy.

After three hits, Madame Broode will perish, leaving behind not a Power Moon of any sort, but a ring of coins. Mario can advance to the Wedding Hall after this.
7. During the final battle against Bowser, Mario will wear how many different hats?

Answer: Two

Mario will burst into the Wedding Hall to find the ceremony already in full swing with a crowd gathered and all of Bowser's stolen items on display. After sending Mario down into a trap door, the battle will commence against Bowser and his attacking hat.

This fight will play out similar to the one in the Cloud Kingdom, wherein Mario will need to don Bowser's hat to fight back. When it seems to come to an end and Peach is freed from imprisonment, the moon cavern will start to collapse. The only way out will be to capture Bowser using Cappy and use his brute strength to find a passage to safety.
8. At the end of the final Mission, Princess Peach will marry who of these?

Answer: Neither

If Mario, as Bowser, can carry himself, Cappy, Tiara, and Peach to victory by smashing his way around the interior of the moon to the Spark Pylon waiting to take them back tot he surface, they'll land outside the Wedding Hall safe and sound (except, maybe Bowser). Bowser will attempt to give Peach a bouquet of Piranha Plants and Mario, in turn, will try to give a flower of his own. Peach won't want to marry either of them though. Instead, she'll take Cappy and Tiara, head over to the Odyssey, and take off.

No forced marriage in this game.
9. Is there a Crazy Cap Shop in Moon Kingdom?

Answer: Yes

There is one because, after all, there are fifty Star Bit-shaped Regional Coins to be collected in Moon Kingdom. The catch is that shopping is likely a low priority activity on your first visit to Honeylune Ridge. Once Bowser is defeated, the Crazy Cap Show appears north of the Odyssey in a Mushroom hut, not unlike the one found atop Lost Kingdom.

This one contains space-themed items and cosmetics.
10. Defeating Bowser will unlock which Kingdom?

Answer: Mushroom Kingdom

Once Bowser is defeated, it doesn't mean the game is over per se. In addition to being able to go back to all the older Kingdoms to round out your Power Moon totals and collect all the Regional Coins and souvenirs, you can head to the Mushroom Kingdom, home to Peach's Castle, for even more activities. Additionally, once Bowser is defeated, more Power Moons will unlock throughout the game, not only just by the nature of Bowser's end, but because the Moon Rocks in each Kingdom will activate, creating more Power Moons when destroyed.
